Hacking Super Smash Bros. for 3DS - The Great Character Revival

Hello, I'm new to GBAtemp, but I know this is the home to the Homebrew scene. I am part of a mod group from the Smash Community, and we want to add characters into Super Smash Bros. for 3DS. We know that this is possible through character cloning, similar to how it was done in Brawl Ex. We plan on using Mii Fighters as placeholders for the time-being. So the process will be loaded through an sd card, probably from a loader that will eventually come to the Homebrew Channel, or be loaded from a flashcard. Our first aims are Wolf, Lucas, Young Link, Pichu, and Roy. We can have these characters models created from the models of Fox, Ness, Link, Pikachu, and Marth. There are costumes in the game similar to the characters we are trying to recreate. I have seen the thread for extracting models, but unfortunately, I have no idea on how to extract the ROM. Could someone please help and give us these models. All help is appreciated.
So for Wolf, we're going to need Fox's 1st Costume and his 8th.
For Lucas , we're going to need Ness' 1st costume and his 4th.
For Young Link we'll need Link's 1st costume.
For Pichu, we'll need Pikachu's 1st and 8th costume.
Lastly, we need Marth's 1st and 8th costume for Roy.
All help is greatly appreciated, but renders and other graphic files not contained in character or moveset are already finished.

Um... Since you just joined today, it would be best to at least provide us some proof of what you guys are doing. It would really help a lot. I mean, I'm sure some people are interested in what you all are doing, but if you just post without any sort of evidence regarding to what you guys are working on, it will be hard to believe what you are saying.

He's not asking for your money or trying to send out viruses.
It's like that guy that found an exploit for the 3ds and wanted to know the best way to try to sell it, every temper pretty much "PROOF?Proof pls proof u troll noob shitlord proof pls"

If there are people smart and willing enough to attempt modding games and making progress for the scene, lets not all be assholes and want proof.

I'm clueless on how to extract from ROMs too but best of luck to you.
I'll look more into the thread later to see if I can figure it out.

There are tools for extracting that content but they're incomplete and the developer might be busy with other stuff.

hate to burst bubbles, but i doubt anything like this would work via the homebrew launcher......this kind of stuff mill more than likely only be possible with a 4.x console using gateway/MT.....maybe the Japanese modded GW2.2 launcher might work for on the fly patching of retail carts....but again still limited to 4.x consoles and assuming they update it to allow 7.x content to run

Doesn't that yet again prove you guys have done absolutely nothing?
You know, people that actually succeed in hacking are those that have the persistence and cleverness to dig into everything themselves and learn how to be self-reliant. You need people who make 3D models too, and chances are, anyone that is actually savvy enough to decrypt Smash, modify the files and encrypt it back is actually skilled enough to do everything by themselves. No offense at all though, it's just you should first learn how to do something yourself and then search for other people!

I don't think it's up to us to decide what he can and can't do, even if he doesn't appear to be a supr elite haxxor. Isn't there a tool that lets people dig around in 3ds roms for models and stuff? Every file explorer?

we would have done something, or have demonstratible progress, but we have people who refuse to help, like the many above. Yes, we are not the best, or maybe even good at all yet, but nothing can get done if no one will help. The Homebrew scene is getting larger for the 3DS. If people would just decide to help others out. The thread didn't get far because people who immedeatly attacked for corn's sake. Plus, wouldn't you want more characters. Someone's got to do it, and we've decided to try. If you don't want to help, then don't say anything. If you want to help, great.

If you want to do it then do it. Have you seen smealum? He's like 21 and one of the most talented 3DS coders here, and I sincerely doubt he started by asking in threads for people to "help him hack the DS". I'm sure he dived in nose-first into the dirty bits behind the hardware and learned from there. It'd be a good learning experience for you too

The business world works only if you can offer anything in advance, why not using 3dmax,
lightwave or maya to create a model and combine it with your graphic skills?

It took me only two days to creaty my own 3d model, you had since the last post over
a month and a half and got nothing to show? Grab your PS and silence us with your skill
or simply stop nagging.
