Hacking Just updated my Gateway Flashcart and then: "Filesystem Error"

Tried with two different SD cards, 2GB and 16GB, and this last one, formatted in exFat and Fat32, with 3 ROMs.

The 2GB one with only one ROM. In this case, It shows one blank box, appears a loading bar for 2 secs and... nothing.

The flashcart was working absolutely fine with 2.0 or 2.1, I think it may have been the updating process when updated to 2.6.

Don't know what to do.

there is no Gateway card update needed for 2.6 all you do is replace the launcher file on your 3ds SD card.

Don't think 2.6 updated the FPGA firmware. Try formatting the 3DS SD card, redownloading the launcher and putting it on your 3ds SD card again.
Maybe it somehow got corrupted.

Well, the system did it all by itself. Asked me to insert the Gateway once I did the NDS Profile thing and said "you need to update the Gateway", and then I pressed Start and did it in 2 minutes or so.

Just did a diagnostic of the Gateway

FPGA Test OK!
SPI Test OK!
SPI Read Test OK!
SD Test FAIL

Maybe it is because I came directly from 2.0 or 2.1

Oh, the Fail Thing in the diagnostic, was because I didn't insert a SD Card xD

Now I did with the SD card, and guess what, all perfect.

You may have to wait until GW release another update to the FPGA so it can overwrite your seemingly broken one... Seems like the update didn't go through correctly. I'd still put on a fresh launcher.dat just to rule out that file being corrupted.

I don't think it matters, but you could try updating it anyway. It can't hurt.

Maybe your roms got corrupted? Could be several things.

Tried doing that, same result.

Will try with 2.5 instead of 2.6, and maybe returning to 2.1

How are you formatting your SD cards?

I only got that error when I tried to mess with partition sizes

With Windows 7 default program, tried doing ExFat and Fat32.

This card was working fine in previous versions of Gateway Software, I think the update broke it or something, but the thing is that it does recognize the card and the diagnostic program says everything is OK.

Maybe I should try using .CIA roms instead of .3DS and play with my SD.

Wipe it with HDD Low Level Format Tool and format it again

Ok, got some progress. Now I can see icons, not just blank pictures!!

uh? you see the icons but the games don't load?
Did you format it to exfat?

try writing the rom directly to the SD using win32diskimager(will obviously only be one game per SD like on 2.0....but just for testing purposes).....and are you sure the SD cards are genuine, i know blank tiles is usually a good sign of fake cards......but thats usually after like the first couple of games

I bought this card like from the official shop from china from Gateway-3DS webpage, and it was one of the first ones. Mine has probably almost 1 year.

I doubt is fake.

Defective? it may be that, but i'd like to try everything before sto

Ok, just updated to 9.2 or whatever the last version is, and now it loaded the only ROM that showed an icon, which was Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

So that's working fine. The other ROM, ocarina, isn't working, neither showing an Icon.

But at least i know it works. So that's great.
