I just noticed that I lost my downloaded games from the eShop (pokemon x, a kirby game, and six golden coins). I know it has nothing to do with installing .cia files, but the thing that I think impacted this was formatting my nand before I installed cfw (When i could have just installed it through gateway, which I later did).

I was wondering if there was some way I could get these games back. I did make a backup of my nand while the games were not on my home menu, but in my eShop club nintendo account on my 3ds when they would show up under "redownloadable software."

Is there anyway I can use the backed up nand or any other method to get my games back? I also still have the codes. The games just dont appear under redownloadable software anymore.

thanks

go to system settings in emunand, sign into yout NNID and they should re-appear as long as the 3ds is the same console....even if you formatted etc

Call Nintendo and hope for the best. You are at their mercy now. In the future, try to avoid eshop purchases until they change their bullshit policies.
Call and say what exactly? I mean it does definitely sound reasonable, but wouldnt they ask how my downloads got deleted? and that it just doesnt happen out of the blue (although I would have to make it sound that way I guess?).
I also didn't buy the games, I got them through club nintendo coins (the pokemon x code I bought from someone else here on the forums).

I dont remember ever making an NNID and I have no idea what an NNID is..I only remember signing in with a club nintendo account.

hmmm iirc they changed how the games where remembered (more than likely to stop people who bought a second hand 3ds from accessing the previous owners titles) not sure if it was enforced that you make a NNID though....just have a look in system settings and see if it lets you sign in to a NNID.....if all else fails restore your old backup where you had them still remembered by the system, update and re-download, then make a NNID so they will be tied to it to save future annoyance of crappy nintendo systems

Do you think you could walk me through how to restore from my old nand? I have the required wire and hardmod. Guess I have no other choice.

try to download an update... it should say to log in _again_ than your stuff should show up i think...

i know this cause i had the same problem as you... where things didnt show up at 1st but later it did. i think anyway.

BUT you need to know is this the same NNID which you used as before or not.

I just got a 32GB SD card. but I'm using the original 2GB which came with the 3DS..
  • how can i transfer my emuNAND to the new SD card?
  • if i transfer my emuNAND will the emuNAND expand as i get my more games from the eshop?
  • the only thing i have in the emuNAND is super mario bros. deluxe ATM will i be able to download that if i create a new emuNAND?

my evidence

My GF had an original copy of Pokemon X on her emuNAND, and a friend took her 3DS and updated it when the 7.x encryption hadn't been cracked yet... I had to format her emuNAND and update it all over again from 4.5. The game was gone and as she hadn't created a NNID account it was as good as gone..

Hello to all of you
But you who live in the US or Canada are famous for class action against the lobbying against the makers of objects or bad functioning or poorly constructed or any cheating then I wonder why you can not make a class action lawsuit against Nintendo
In the end of the day after a user has paid a regular game because it can not re-download the game again ?? Maybe in a new console instead of paying twice ???
Here we in Europe are not used in class action
You North Americans are rather active in the run class action !!!
Greetings from all of you !!!

Ugh, Sony gets one thing right with PSN, all purchased and downloaded content sits merrily in a nice simple menu awaiting you to re-download if you need too.

That is, of course, if the game is used for an exploit on the PS Vita and it magically disappears until the next firmware update :rofl2:

I just injected my nand, but nothing :/ I ended up with firmware 4.4 emunand which was not what I had when I backed up nand (had 9.0).

I also fiddled with my old sd Card. When I put it back into my 3ds, one of my games showed up on my home screen (seems like i never deleted it). However, I tried to go to eshop and I ended up with the same problems. There is nothing in redownloadable software.

Should I just call them and see what they say? I wouldn't know what to tell them, or how to talk to them (angry customer or just a regular customer). But i do believe that this is B.S.

If you never made an NNID, shouldn't just logging into the eshop, going into settings, and then redownloads give you the games back? That's how it would work if you only formatted without an NNID without a Gateway being brought into the mix. If you formatted your 3DS and chose the "delete eshop account" option, then you deleted your eshop history forever.

I ever deleted an eshop account. I have only been linking my club Nintendo account to the eshop that's all. Long story short, I think I'm out of options. Is it worth calling Nintendo or not?

Might be worth the call, but I'm still not sure why the games are now gone from your shop. I admittedly don't have experience with what you're doing when it comes to Gateway and CFW, so I have to assume it was something you did besides just a format that caused them to be deleted. When you have an NNID, eshop stuff is linked to the ID and the ID is (temporarily) removed from the system when you format. Without NNID, it's not supposed to remove eshop history.
