Would help if you made a bit more sense.

PSN games require RAP/RIF files for authentication. Has nothing to do with FW levels unless you're talking about converting PSN->Disc and even then, thats controlled through EBOOT/PARAM.SFO

Ok I'm gonna stop typing in silly codes because clearly no one gives a shit.

I got 2 .pkg files for Hard Corps Uprising.

One is the game and one is the crack. When I asked for help elsewhere I was told the crack only worked on 3.55.

What's your custom firmware version?
what firmware version does the game require?

A crack is usually required to run a game on older firmware than the one requested by the game. (so there are cracks for users who are still on 3.41/3.55)
But if you are already on the required firmware version (4.x), you shouldn't need a crack. only use ReAct PSN to generate your licence.

I think maybe some games require patches to work with for 4.x, but I'm still on OFW 3.41 so I didn't read a lot about it.

Tell me more about ReAct PSN.

I thought everything needed a crack.

I'm on the latest CFW.

latest ?
that name doesn't mean anything to me.

it could be latest 3.41 release by hermes, latest 4.65.1 rebug or 4.65.2 rebug, cobra7.02, latest released 4.46 by habib?.
please tell the correct name and number.

ReActPSN is used to activate PSN licenses if you want to play a PSN game.
if it's not a PSN game but an ISO dumped from a disc, then you don't need ReActPSN.

Did you try it without a patch or fix?
if you are on the "latest", there's shouldn't be any reason it doesn't work.

Sorry, I'm on the latest Habib CFW.

I did try it without the crack, just gives me the trial. It's even called trial on the menu.

I also did some digging and found there's a program called PSNpatch. Trying that now.

It worked initially but the DLC I had installed didn't work and it acted as if I didn't have save data (which I did).

I went back, installed my DLC.pkg (which it said I already had installed) but I did it anyhow and then the game wouldn't load.

So the issue is finding raps for everything. That should be fun. Thank you!

Bonus question: When installing the DLC it says it's already installed, where can I see it? I browsed everything and I can't find it. I feel like deleting and reinstalling would be the way to go.

Bonus question #2: Is this .rap thing only for PSN? I've installed DLC for disc based games with none of that.

rap files are the license management for downloaded games.
I don't think they are used for disc based games, but I didn't install any DLC so I may be wrong.

The pkg installer will tell you that you already have the file installed if it detects the param.sfo with the same version installed at the destination path.
DLC and updates are usually downloaded in the /game/GameID/ path. If DLC are account dependent, it may be located in home/000000000x/ etc.
You can also use a pkg viewer or extractor on your computer to see where the files are installed.
I'm using PkgView for that purpose.

DLC for disc based games are just .pkg I can personally confirm it.

Well there is a program that lets you DL RAPs of some PSN games(Better than nothing).

It's called PSNStuff. Not everything is on there though.

Yeah, doesn't have what I need, very annoying.
