I know that the original Xbox has NeoGenesis to play Sega CD discs on it, but has there been any emulator that plays actual Sega CD discs on the Xbox 360? Also, I have heard of NullDC in the development stages for the 360, but would it be possible to port any other emulator (such as Chankast, DEMUL, etc.) to the 360 via re-coding that would also allow it to play DC games and save the data to the hard drive as it would a PC?

Well, the drive isn't built to play those types of disks, and that can't be fixed by software. You would need to somehow attach a Sega CD or Dreamcast drive to the system to get that to work, which I doubt is even possible.

Xbox 360 is a poor choice when it comes to homebrew/emulator. NullDC 360 you talked about is dead with the last commit dating from 2012.

As for other emulator, I suppose you can ask authors of these emulator nicely.

You could port them to the 360, please do so.
360 Scene is dead anyway except for Aurora.

Yes, Save data will be saved to the HDD or to the USB.
XeLL is a better choice as it's got more power of the 360 available.

Legit discs won't work, discs with ISO images/ROMS should work, provided it's supported by the emulator.

Ok, so legit dc discs won't work, but Sega CD should clearly be able to. If legit sega CDs can work on the original Xbox, a few hours or days worth of recoding could easily make them playable on the 360.

360 isn't a PC.
Unless you code the emu to be able to read the legit discs from the disc drive then you'd be the first.

In all seriousness, it's easier to store the ISO images on a USB (when use in XeLL) or on the HDD.
Since using a DVD drive is almost pointless when using a JTAG/RGH console.

Protip: the original Xbox hardware is quite different from the 360.

You clearly have no idea how long it takes to port emulator from one system to another. It's not couple hours or days. We are looking at months if not years.

And you have no idea of one's personal life or daily agenda! I am fully aware of code for most systems and computers. I am not bragging or showing off, but I have been playing with certain codes for the Xbox scene for nearly two years! I have plenty of free time during most weeks that it is not even funny. Next time, don't assume!

I've been unemployed and sitting at home for 5 fxcking years.
I've got nothing but time on me hand and I waste it all by playing games and helping noobies ._.

The only thing you can do online is deliver code builds, show examples, make proof of your work.
People will continue to yell troll when don't deliver things.
Especially when it comes to making homebrew/coding/exploiting etc.

I fully encourage you code up/port emu's to the 360 tho, it could use a huge boost.

Kudos to you for your time management skill. When I said it would take long time to port emulator, I mean it is a project that requires a lot of effort to be invested in. If you can pull off such a feat in the matter of days or even hours, excellent!

Like what DinohScene have said, why don't you invest your free time to do the things you desire? Grab the source code of DC emulator and start porting it to X360. Put your free time into use and contribute to X360 scene.
