I've obtained a ROM myself, but I can't decrypt it because my 3DS firmware is 9.0.0! This is extremely infuriating because an xorpad is literally the only thing I need. I have a rom, I have the actual retail game, none of this should be illegal, but if it is, can somebody PLEASE tell me where to get the xorpad? I know somebody who obtained a decrypted 3D Land rom himself but won't share it. (He got it from somebody, he didn't obtain it himself)

I'm not even asking for the decrypted rom, I just need an xorpad, can somebody just bail me out here and share one with me? I barely ever visit GBATemp anyways.

Man i think you should calm down... Could you explain better what do you need exactly and why can't you get it yourself?

He can't get the xorpads because he's on 9.0 . AFAIK you need a 3ds with a 4.5 fw and a flashcart which allows to execute code on the 3ds

You might be justified to a small degree, but if you clenched your butt, bit your tongue (or your fingers), and didn't come off as an ass, somebody could've dropped by with a helpful PM addresed to you :)

Well sorry, but i've been trying to obtain a decrypted 3D Land rom for so long so it's getting a little infuriating that I just can't obtain one myself.

The xorpads aren't copyrighted.
i wonder where he got his copy of SM3DL if he doesnt have a 4.x console to dump it himself

personally i don't give 2 shits, but coming here acting like he is all high and mighty whilst downloading roms off the internet.......personally if your doing that you shouldn't be trying to act like some moral knight in shining armor and insulting people for not sharing content that has been specifically forbidden from being shared on here

I lost sympathy for our smug friend once he started complaining about literally EVERYONE in the GBATemp community, simply because he couldn't get what he demanded. The "mods can lock this topic for all I care" statement reveals precisely what kind of swell fellow we're dealing with, here.

"All I wanted from you was what I wanted. I have nothing to offer and nothing to give. Me, me, me. Me, me, me. I gots mine. Deuces, suckas."

I miss him already. Maybe he will leave sooner next time, so I can miss him even faster.

Who knows, he could have a hardware dumper. Regardless, the xorpads are not copyrighted, and can be legally shared. If gbatemp doesn't want to allow them to be shared here, then that's their right, but legally it's totally fine to share them.

It is impossible to obtain a xorpad file without using Nintendo's hardware in a way other than that in which it was intended. The only way to get one is to use software circumvention of Nintendo's intellectual property, which is why you see tutorials, but no topics filled with links to xorpads that have already been ripped.

It's one thing to lead a horse to water. It's another to bring the water to the horse.
