Hacking very lost with what to buy please help

hello everyone

i am new to the fourm and need some help


i have updated to the new software on the 3ds xl and now i see all sorts out there to buy but what is real and what is not i see gateway being at the top as the best is this true i allso see r4i gold up there to but that dont surport the new update im lost this will be my first card to buy so if you could help me out where to buy from in the uk it would be very greatful and welcome with open arms

allso i see the r4i gold have cheats in it but does gateway have a cheat database it in to ?

Probably 9.2

U cant use R4i Gold Deluxe Edition or MT-Card or the Greatfull Gateway 3DS, all these Cards need an 3DS with FW 4.x

you CAN NOT use a 3ds flashcart (yet)

the only cards for 3DS GAMES are for consoles with 4.x firmware, before you ask, you can't go back...

HOWEVER you CAN play DS GAMES using a DS flashcart

the ones i know that work and i recommend are:
DSTWO http://www.realhotstuff.com/Supercard-DSTWO_p_25.html (the best DS mode card)
R4I (FROM r4ids.cn only, be careful with the website printed on the card! ) http://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=149

yep, for homebrew there will be sspwn, but that is not public as of now.
You need a 3ds with 4.5 fw max for 3ds cards.

no. that cards aparently EMULATE real game cards, no actual menu or any functions besides play games and for switch a game you even need to press a button on the card...
for cheats and stuff you have to get another cheat device...

for ds games i already give you the links of trustable stores from gbatemp

for 3ds games, you have to wait until the new cards come out, but i recommend you to wait and read stuff here because we know very little info yet... it was announced some days ago, and from what i saw, its a total garbage not worth unless you want "here and now"

Also please don't consider buying these new Sky3ds/R5sdhc cards because you can only have 10 games max on your Micro-SD card for the flashcards and they are not interchangeable unless you want to go out and buy another Sky3ds/R5sdhc cards for your next choice of 10 games, of course it all depends on how much the card costs in the first place which I don't think will be cheap cause its just a rip off anyway, my opinion is its all a big phat con but if you really want one then go ahead, its up to you. My thoughts for you are either stick with a DSTwo or ONEi Supercard and play DS roms or go and swap your 3DS or buy one with the correct firmware on 4.5.0 or below for a Gateway card and do it properly also the apparent smealum exploit is for Homebrew only, you can't use it with roms which the Gateway card already does both and way more!. I hope this helps you a bit

If your looking for DS roms to play bud then like I said go with the DSTwo or DSONEi Supercards the rest are just chaep tat m8 at least with those you can do alot more than just play DS roms.

Can't you just switch out a microsd for another 10 games? I'm not totally well versed on what Sky3DS claims to be capable of/limited in what it can do.

The way it seems to phrased on the website, this doesn't appear to be case. It's really locked to just 10 games.

Sorry to report back to you but no, apparently not, a direct email came back from Sky3ds themselves and said no to the exact same question and I actually funny enough thought it was just a misprint to begin with because it just sounded so ridiculous in the first instance, yes you do sadly actually have to go out and buy another card to put another 10 different games on it, its madness in itself, these people are scum bags in my eyes and are no different from the common criminal, they should be locked up, they are not selling people an excellent product, they are selling people second rate tat!!!. I know I may have a 3DS and a Gateway card and some may say I am just speaking with a biased opinion but tbh with you I feel so sorry for desperate 3DS owners that will actually go out and buy one and put money in there pockets because of the extreme desperation trying to get that flashcard fix on there 3DS, its terribly sad news for the 3DS scene!

the new update come out recently, they still didn't updated the text... if the card works on a 7.x firmware, it also works on 9.x since nintendo appears to dont care about DS cards anymore

I presume its still alive, it came with its own update flasher device so it updates itself but tbh I have not used it in along time so I don't really know? also I am talking about the DSONEi, not the old One card they did.

Edit: I've checked up on Supercards website, yeah its still alive and kicking, good card as well!

Its all in the forums about the DSONEi:http://forum.supercard.sc/forum-4-1.html its always worked on the latest 3DS firmwares, it always have, are you sure your not getting confused with the old DSONE not the DSONEi?.
