It was working flawlessly but when i continued my progress but when it was loading, it crashes.

I thought maybe because the disc 1 files are in separate drives. So i downloaded the first file which i accidentally deleted. It still crashed when i continue. Someone said that maybe m game save is corrupt.

So i started a new one.. But then it crashed after the 2nd cutscene.. which i already got beyond that part on the first run..

What can be the issue here? My dashboard is in 16547 and the minimum is 16537 for the game.

Fatal crashes could be anything and a tricky one to narrow down the cause. I suggest you burn a copy of it, if your drive is flashed, load the save and continue the game to another different save point, save again and then reboot the game from the hdd. It's possible something got corrupted at some point

Im ok with starting a new game cause im only a few minutes away from it. And you could skip cutscenes so im fine with starting a new one. But dang i thought i wasnt gonna worry about the crash when i started over again today.

Im thinking maybe because i downloaded the first file of disc 1 from a different source. So im gonna go with a fresh copy of disc 1 and 2 tomorrow.
But im still doubting that thats gonna work. cause why would the crash even happen in the first place?

Yeah, and it's 900mb :wtf: :D

900 MB!? Uhm no way. ill download it just to discover that the game will still crash.

Anyway, i tried everything. i even moved the disc 1 to a separate thumbdrive. Still crashes.
Disabled system link, plugins, screenshot feature, still crashes.

Am i not the only one encountering this?

Have you tried booting the game's XEX file directly from Xex Menu instead of booting into FSD? Try setting the console to boot to the M$ Dash instead and then try the Xex menu app and try the game from there?

Another method is to use ISO2GOD conversion

As much as I dislike the site, it has a good tutorial on how to run it.
Take a look here

Why do you dislike the site if you dont mind me asking? Anyway, ok i'll check that one out. Cant believe i didnt see that when i was google-ing before.

Ok I just tried that one. Theres no default.xex on both the Alien folder. And its not on the XEXmenu either. But I tried selecting the one random number file on the disc 2 of the game and it actually opened. So there i started it and hoping that that was it... CRASH. I have no hope.

One of the sites that weren't blocked on the school's network was some file uploading sites. I would upload some games, write down the URL and take it to school one day.

It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
