I heard that the new update for the new Nintendo 3DS and the normal Nintendo 3DS is out. My question is, can you still update your emunand without blackscreen?

First of all, your title its misleading, 9.1.0-20 is for JPN only. NA/E is still 9.0.0-20. You're giving people the impression there is a new update. I'll let you handle it without a report.
Yes, the new gateway release fixes blackscreen as long as you don't screw up the emunand update. Follow directions.

Its because I have a japanese 3DS and I'm unsure to update my emunand. I'm still on 9.0.0-20U/E/J.

That still doesn't change the fact the update is pulled from Japanese servers since you have a Japanese 3DS. Misleading title is misleading. Reported.

You know you're misleading people telling that other regions beside japan are having a new update ( and makign them nervous because maybe their emunand will be again out of compatibility ) when there ISNT a new update in other servers? It's old news that japane got updated to 9.1 instead of 9.0 at the same time that the other regions got updated to 9.0 . I think the most reasonable explanation was something to do with new3ds ? I dunno

Because if you don't follow directions your screwed, unless you can flash you own nand(you'd have to send it off to one of a few ppl on the temp)
