If I can use Google Maps on an iPhone and even check my gmail account, then I should be able to play Nintendo software on a Vita. Clearly Nintendo is stuck in the past by hoarding all their IP to themselves. Very selfish, and backwards.

Not only would it be benefical for both fans and Nintendo, but probably also REQUIRED by US anititrust law, since Nintendo has a monopoly on games like Smash Bros. by virtue of having no competing title.

Wise or not, Nintendo owns the rights, people are simply bitter it's not on their precious consoles, nothing more. If Sony fans can demand that Nintendo software be on their consoles, Nintendo fans should have every right to demand that Sony exclusives be on Nintendo consoles. Nintendo games were designed to be for Nintendo consoles in mind.

Is Nintendo having a game for their systems really that criminal. I mean, here's the thing. So many people are like "if you want Metal Gear Solid 5, get a PS4, your precious Wii U will never get it" or something along those lines. Now, the tables have turned, if people want a Nintendo game or games, they need to get the Nintendo consoles.

Nintendo doesn't own the genre, anyone has the right to create a Smash equivalent and Sony did so recently with PSABR. There's dozens of similar games out there, they're just not popular in the west.

Being a fan doesn't mean that you shouldn't have a realistic (or, in this case, pessimistic) look on the future. Being a fan shouldn't be equivalent to wearing a paper bag and pretending problems don't exist in Nintendoland.

#1) It's quite possible they have already left the console market.
#2) The world doesn't need 3 consoles. Third party developers dont care about Nintendo.
#3) Shareholders won't let them keep releasing shitty consoles. Sorry to the Fanboys.

#4) The profit is in the software .... not the hardware. Why lose easy software money by screwing up hardware ?
