Many thanks for the new Capcom Play System SM button. I've been wanting one for awhile now so I could merge my CPS1&2 collection together. Great job on the others too, they'll look more amazing once I get them setup.

Not trying to rain on anybody's parade, but I really don't get the point of making wiiflow covers for systems whose games aren't even playable on the Wii, especially when we still have so many games that are supported going uncovered. Or did I miss the big Genplus update with 32x support?

Some systems might not be playable on Wii yet or ever. But they are playable via emulators on pc. And front ends like Hyperspin support covers. I was'nt aware this covers forum was dedicated to wiiflow or wii.
Cover Collections for Emulators With Cover Support

It just so happens that wiiflow has the nicest looking gui and cover flow. Emulators for windows/linux and even original xbox are better than the wii ports but wiiflow has the prettiest multi system launch outside of pc(hyperspin/maximus arcade etc)

Well, I mean, when it says right next to the link that those covers are best used for Wiiflow, and an emulator doesn't even exist to utilize them... Seems like alot of extra work for nothing. Maybe I missed something...

Some people use wiiflow to catalog their rom collections. Even if no emulator exists for that system. For example I use wiiflow to catalog my BBC B, Electron, VIC20, CDi, Supervision collections. It allows me to create/display full coverart for all those systems. Plus I like to make covers for the obscure systems and wiiflow is the best app for displaying the full cover(boxart).

Update 09-18-14:

Added a Sega Dreamcast DVD cover set created by the fine artists at TCP. It contains 308 covers plus 64 alts. This set of course is unusable with anything wii-related, but figured I would add it because it didn't require much work (re-named/slight re-size/made the spine logos uniform) and I knew drakorex would really enjoy it. :toot:

Well well, this topic's been a bit quiet recently, so here's a few random covers I've made at various points on various consoles  - was planning on saving for a pack, or redoing then saving for a----whatever, here we go!..

Atari 2600:
I've got over 400 covers in total, though can't remember who shared the ones mastershoes hasn't got - they're on here somewhere, after I'd shared a few I'd made... anyroad, one family fave neither of them had was Frostbite (which I've shared before), and here's another:
Subterranea.a26.png
Bit of a strange shmup in that you basically fight the end boss at the start of the level, then it turns rather Defender-like... Still a great game!
Will have a nosey one of these days and see if there's anymore 2600 titles I've done but not shared (there may be a couple actually)

NES:
My cover set here recently got overtaken by the SNES, can't be having that so am looking at doing some Famicom only titles - here's the first:
Dezaemon.nes.png
The first in the Dezaemon series, and there's an English translation knocking about too.... Will be doing more Famicom soon - got a dozen I want to do at least, including the 2 Digital Devil Story games.

PSX:
Now these are old ones! Done back in my newbie-cover-making days, hence following the NES/SNES 1090x680 resolution.... mainly Japanese ones here too, all of which are either fully or mostly playable, and (I think) most of them are a good size smaller than the 700Mb mark too:
Adventure of Little Ralph, The.bin.png Bishi Bashi Special 3.bin.png Cotton Original.img.png
Croket! - Kindan no Kinka Box!.bin.png Dr. Slump.img.png Harmful Park.bin.png
Mr Domino.BIN.png Mystic Ark - Maboroshi Gekijou.bin.png O-chan no Oekaki Logic - Puzzler Kanshuu.bin.png
PONG.img.png Sexy Parodius.bin.png
For the most part the Japanese ones are quite playable even if your understanding of Japanese is zero: however I do have basic knowledge there so have an advantage, so I suspect Croket & Dr Slump, and especially Mystic Ark might be a bit much if you're not feeling adventurous enough, be warned! Ralph is a fun cutesy platformer - Harmful Park another cute un very much like Parodius, the others should be no brainers...;)

And that's it! I'll have a quick gander later and see if there's any others I've missed, and will probably do the Famicom ones soon - in fact after posting the PSX covers I might even try my hand at a few more of those too.....

Hey, I have got a question. I would like to use the (horizontal) SNES covers but is there a way to split back and front and to rotate them (90°)?

You can rotate the covers 90 degrees by adjusting the coverflow (emuflow). I don't know what you mean by split back and front... are they both displaying on the front only and kinda squished? If so, make sure your covers are in "wiiflow/boxcovers/???" and not "wiiflow/covers/???". The "covers" folder is for 2D (front) covers only.

Well. I am asking because I would like to use these covers for XBMC. For my collection I am using front covers only (like HERE) so I would like to cut off the back or split in 2 files (back/front). I know they have been created for wiiflow but they are also working for XBMC. It would be pretty time consuming to do that manually.

Use a program like ImageMagick convert and write a script or batch file to trim all the covers to your spec. I have done exactly that with all the full covers for most emulators so I can use them on XBMC, PS3, CoinOPS, Dragon Media Launcher and HyperSpin

Update 10-10-14:

Gameboy Classic Update! Whole set has been updated (so there is no update folder/rar this time). I cleaned up all the names by (a) - Removing all the "(SGB Enhanced)" from the titles. Also re-named some mislabled region covers, and a few others that weren't named to the no-intro format. This update also includes about 40 new covers, 70 cleaned-updated covers, and a few new alternates. Big thanks to ToddofWar420 and the artists at TCP for their contributions to this update!

Have fun!

Noticed a silly muffy error while browsing through the NES games - my setup has all the NES & FDS games in the one flow - the previous Famicom only covers ms has done had a different spine, so edited my Dezaemon as a result:
Dezaemon.png
...better? I have to say I don't pay too much attention to the spines myself anyway, so don't mind if people prefer this or the usual NES logo...... just done another anyway:
Holy Diver.png
Decent platformer with a feel similar to Castlevania II, again there's an english patch knocking around too. Couple of lesser used mappers in this one by the way....
More Famicom games to come, whenever I can spare the time anyway!!

PSX? Couple more here..... one of these days I'll get round to sizing these things properly!
Groove Adventure Rave - Plue no Daibouken.png The Invaders - Simple 1500 Series.png Two-Tenkaku.png Umihara Kawase Shun - second edition.png
Typically psycho Japanese platformer, this one making you eat ice lollies to stop melting..
Space Invaders with funky 3D '3rd person' mode..
Tough as nails arcade style vertical shmup..
Umihara Kawase say no more! :D (Not as good as the SFC game in my opinion - by the way the first edition and second edition are nearly the same game - 2nd ed only having 5 extra levels and changed cut scenes - it was basically a more budget priced re-release...)
..All 4 games like the others work a treat on WiiSX, are easily accessible to us foreigners, and way below the 700Mb mark again. ;)

Muffy's Megami Tensai post!! (probably a bit more fanfare than it deserves really!)

OK chaps & chapesses, thought I'd get the Famicom Digital Devil Story titles all covered up, and WAS going to save them for a pack of sorts but anyway:

Digital Devil Story - Megami Tensei (Japan).png Digital Devil Story - Megami Tensei II (Japan).png

Both game have translation patches done so English peeps can enjoy them - decided to stick with the spines as they were coz they look good enough, but can change to mastershoes style if anyone wants.... Anyway, reason I've posted so soon is because while trawling round the net for scans & info on these, I've found out the Super Famicom compilation of these 2 games has just (as in, about 6 weeks back!) received an English translation too - 4 years in the making and while I've only tested it for about 5 minutes, seems really well made! So I simply had to do the SFC cover of that:

Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei (Japan).png
Patch info & download link (seems an ok site mods, but if you find summat feel free to rattle my hands  )

Simply cannot find a decent scan of the back cover I'm afraid peeps, but am thinking of nipping back to do some more SFC covers anyway, so think of this particular cover as an early beta!

Update 10-29-14:

Today there are updates to both the Horizontal and Vertical SNES sets. Here's a quick breakdown.

SNES Horizontal:
9 Cleaned/Updated
7 New
2 New Alts

SNES Vertical:
7 Cleaned/Updated
30 New USA
1 New Europe
4 New Alts

These were contributed mostly by the awesome artists at TCP, and a few cleaned covers from halen. All Folders and Links have been updated, as well as the "Master Sets". As usual, there is a separate folder in the "Individual Downloads" folder titled "Newly Added 10-29-14" that has today's additions and an update .rar.

Have fun, Happy Halloween!

You can use the bulk rename utility app linked in the opening post. Open it up, select your folder, click on add suffix, type in .nes, select all your covers, and hit re-name. It takes about 3 seconds and my laptop is old!
