Hacking Noob question, what do I need to do to get a Smash ROM working online with Gateway?

So I bought a retail version of Smash, but constantly having to boot into classic mode is kind of a pain. Can a smash ROM work online? (A friend wanted to borrow my copy for a bit) If so, do I need to change the header or anything? And can emuNAND download the Smash 4 update required for online?

Yes it will work as a rom. You have to dump it yourself though. If you already downloaded the update you will be fine if not you just got screwed because of the new 9.0 update. Eshop no longer works.

Why is it a pain to boot into classic mode? Its only two very short steps more than emunand.

Mainly because my classic mode is messed up. It will only boot if I have both the gateway and the original card, and I bought my gateway to reduce the amount of cartridges I have to carry. (And for Japanese imports)

It's not messed up it is just how it is now with 7.x encryption

Yea gateway did that on purpose to screw the people who got emunand without buying the gw cart. Oh and to help keep away the clones. Still bad juju imo
