I am now using a 4gb sd card, which i think may not be enough. If i buy a new sd card, do i need to recreate emunand and update to 8.1.0 again?
thank you
thank you
I think you can transfer the old emunand with something called emunand tool, but don't quote me on that.
so how can I do it ? And i have question just like him because I want to change to 4gb sd card to able to play smash brother (sorry for my bad english )YES YOU DO, OR YOU COPY THE EMUNAND DIRECTLY FROM THE OLD ONE
download this
http://filetrip.net/3ds-downloads/utilities/download-emunand-tool-1-0-1-f32623.html
insert you old SD card into your pc, pick extract emunand, also backup all the contents into another folder on your PC
copy just the launcher.dat to the new SD card, insert it into the 3DS, enter the gateway menu and pick format emunand,
remove the new SD and insert it into the computer, open emunand tool, select your old backup and pick inject, then copy all your other files on after its finished
thats it done
delete everything off the card and copy it o again, i think if the 3ds creates the folder structure again it changes a bit, so you need to delete all the new ones first before copying the old ones back onThis worked for me, except my eshop games I bought (that show up on my old SD card) are gone. I followed the exact instructions.
1.Used the extract tool to copy the nand from my old SD card. (also drag/dropped all files/folder off it)
2. Put in the new 8gb SD card (with only the latest gw launcher)
3. Booted into GW tools, chose "Format emunand"
4. Put the new card back in the PC, injected the nand from step 1 onto it.
5. Copy over the drag/dropped files/folders back onto it.
New card showing my original 4.5 nand, and booting into GW shows the last emunand ver I had on the old card, but my eshop games I bought and saved that were working on the old SD card are gone.
What did I do wrong/ how do I get the eshop games to show up?
Thanks!
