Not sure what the best method is. I just found out I can't link my NNID because it can only be linked with 1 system. I was just about to buy another pokebank on another account but I just realized that would be *useless* since I can't load 3DS carts in emunand mode (or if I can, I don't know how). Anyway, is the other method to moves them off the physical cart to do them 1 by one manually doing a local trade? Thank you.

I use the same method to transfer Legendaries from my Y rom to my X cartdridge so to sum things up:
You get your system a Pokebank-Sub, go into emunand (or other way around), mount your rom and start pokebank to transfer them, then get back into PhyNand to enter classic mode by pressing L while booting Gateway, then you can use your physical card plus Pokebank to get those Pokemon back, this even should work with a Non-Gateway save on your card since Pokebank seems to support all regions, save-cryptos and either Eshop or Retail releases alltogether.

You can't. If you used the game on a legit system, then move it to emunand (Or vice versa), the save's keys won't work in the intended way, and the game will flag the save as corrupt and require you to start again. Your best bet is to either trade all of them one by one, or do what Jackall4BDN mentioned.

By the way, alexenochs Do you know of a nice save with some of those permanent Mega Evolution's on it? I have one with all the unreleased shiny's and Pokemans themselves, but not with "hacked beyond actually possible" guys on it.

yes the pokemon x and y gateway save thread...the online X save has them but be sure when your using the mega evos that you put them back in pc before closing the game as they will revert back to normal pokemon if you dont also another thing to note is they cant be traded other than into your pokebank and they cant be used in online battles as it will give you errors

Yeah I got all that stuff. I don't plan on trading them, just using them to fuck with people in passerby battles.

This doesn't work at all. Pokebank thinks there is either no cart plugged in or it can't read the save. If you try and start up Pokemon it thinks the save is corrupt. Plug the cart into a legit updated system and it works fine. Not sure how you were able to do this. This is within "Classic Mode" Maybe there was a recent update to Pokebank that stopped letting it read the gateway save crypto?

How about this scenario:

From my understanding system transfers work, correct?

1) System transfer from my stock 3DS to my emunand partition
2) Create backup of emunand partition after transfer completes
3) System transfer AGAIN back to stock 3DS
4) restore emunand backup from earlier
5) Open Pokebank and move everything from the gateway pokerom to the bank
6) open pokebank on stock 3ds and move everything to legit card

Would this work?

No, once you transfer it back you wouldn't be able to use it on the other console even if you restore the nand, as transfer titles will be deleted Upton you connecting to the Internet...... But this may work
1. transfer your nni d and Pokebank subscription to emunand
2. load up Pokebank from gateway, and fill it up with whatever pokemon you wanted
3. Transfer your nnid and pokebank back to retail system and retrieve them on retail cart

But from what I read a while back, you need to wait a week before you can transfer your nnid back to another console. So the process would take a week to do

You can't transfer NNID's that I saw, it's locked to that 3DS until you do a system transfer. Unless I have this wrong?

We'll see how this works. I know when whoever figured out how to dump the system NAND a long time ago tested it they were able to system transfer to a new system then restore their nand with everything in tact essentially cloning their purchased stuff to two separate systems. I did restore my emuNAND to an older backup before the system transfer but:

1) I forgot to backup the SD card contents so it got wiped
2) eShop throws a generic error and won't work

I am hoping, at the very least, Pokebank will work. I really don't understand how some people are able to do this. There's at least one or two people in this thread that have suggested ways they've done it that does work.
