So I got the leaked rom and tried to use it on my 4.1.0-4U 3ds with emuNANd 8.1 and got a black screen. Rom appears to be legit. Little intro at the menu loads up and you can look through the manual but it gives a black screen after the 3ds logo.

Anyone get the rom to work and if so with what systemNAND? I will be updating to 4.5 tomorrow just to test it out.

EDIT: It looks like your SD card has to be at least 4gb or you will get a black screen.

I'm playing it now with a 4GB SD card. The game does have a warning screen with a picture of an SD card, but I can't read Japanese, so I'm not sure how relevant it is.

You're playing it now? I dunno man. I have a 4.5 system with a 16gb micro-SD card. I'm getting a black screen after saying no to the update. 8.1.0-19U EmuNAND.

My d/l was "Fuzion.rar", maybe you got it from a different source? Going from the other thread, I'd say you didn't. What'd you do differently..?

Edit: After reloading the ROM, AXCJ.3ds, I'm still having no luck. I will be trying to get another few gb of freespace next, but basically it flashes Nintendo 3DS, then goes to a black screen and stays there.

Nevermind, got every SD card situation figured out.

I'm still having issues with the black screen like everyone else though.

Also curious the game icon says Super Smash Bros in English. I would have assumed it would say Dairantou Smash Bros or whatever in Japanese? Is this just cause my system is set to English?

Okay, so how do I swap whatever SD card I was using for a bigger one? I put my backup NAND back onto the 2GB one I was using, and I just copied and pasted everything onto the 4GB one. Now I just boot back into the same menu and when I tried to boot in gateway mode again it just said an Error Occurred and then the system promptly shut off. I did notice that in my PC the one I was using for the 3DS was titled GATEWAYNAND and this one that I'm using now has no such title.

In short, how do I switch everything on the old SD card over and also retain functionality? I hope I didn't just demolish every save I had.

You cant just copy the nand backup you have, you need to use the format emuNAND option in the Gateway Menu to set card up, you then then copy everything from old card over if you wish, saves launcher etc..
Anyway, According to the leaked packaging you need 2.1gigs free space on your sd card for this to run, otherwise blackscreen

you most likely need to format emunand on the gateway menu and than update again to 8.1 but I have no idea how to recover backed up saves

Okay, yeah, it's actually giving me more problems than I thought. So I'm gonna back up the system NAND and then format the EmuNAND.

Mind posting a pic of that screen?

I got a screen showing an sd card in corner with a red line through it, but it only showed on first load, now i just get 1 screen which i take is the update screen, if i can get it up again, ill take a screen, this sd is a 4 gig with emunand and saves only on it so probably 2.5gigs free, didnt see it changing to a 16gig sd card

Confirming the challenges this Braixen fan is having.

The lack of a tool to backup and transfer the EmuNAND will be giving people a bit of a problem on this endeavor. I'll be keeping my old card in tact and just using this 4gb for the JP smash. Hopefully by the time US smash rolls out, there will be an easier way to transfer everything.

As a trailblazer, backing up all the .sav's and other junk off the SD card, then formatting it, and then moving all the sav's and everything else from the backup barring the LAUNCHER.DAT seemed to keep all my saves intact. Now I'm just having the issue of not being able to update to 8.1.

Arwinger I hope you're being very careful that you don't update your system nand. :P

And as for things to transfer, I was mostly worried about icon placement and possibly Mii Plaza data. I'll see how it looks once I redo it. Whee.

You will get a blackscreen on 4.5, as game will only run on EmuNAND or SYSNAND of 8.1 and higher, maybe to do with newer modules, ie.. NFC etc

Yeah, don't worry, I always check to see that "GW"

I got the update to start, it's just taking fucking forever. Probably part shitty internet, part 4.5 to 8.1 jump.
