wow, this happened much sooner than I thought.

This means ALL psp systems are now E1000 models
except for PSP Go, which is now useless.

as a PSP fan I'm a bit heartbroken, but I figured it would happen sooner or later. Might as well get it over with.
Wait... this is horrible. It means I can never play Mr. Driller on a PSP.

Shit... I'm about to freak out...
edit: wait... I could always download the game using Media Go.
But that's b.s.
But... it's better than nothing.

I just wish they'd remove the Comic app they stopped updating a few years ago. That's what annoys me. This is just another reason to either download to my ps3 and transfer, or just hack and pirate on the Go.

Eh, I was never able to connect to PSN anyways. Always got some sort of connection error no matter how many different wi-fi networks I tried.

Still though, it's a shame to see it go.

waddyamean? can't you just delete the comic app by pressing triangle?

I heard your comics still take up space on the memory stick, but at one point they updated the comic app so that you were able to delete comics.

I'm hoping this means the Go will go on clearance for super cheap from everywhere that still has used models. Maybe I'll find one for $20 since it will technically be entirely obsolete.

true, soon might be a good time to get a PSP Go for novelty purposes.
Although, I for one might want a USB cable to connect to the PC with. Are those hard to come by? Does it use a proprietary cable?

edit: I'd much rather try an E1000 than a PSP Go. Every time I consider it though, I come back to my senses when I realize that E1000 can't access the PSN Store. But that is not a problem anymore. :P
Problem is... E1000 is more expensive than PSP Go.

Sucks for PSP owners this is the reason I love Nintendo
While they haven't taken down the Wii shop yet, that's probably only because it still works on the WiiU in vWii mode. Also, you can still download your games, you just have to use a PC to do so. Nintendo will do the same thing (or something similar at least) eventually. They already took down all the game servers for Wii and DS.

Yet another system of the 7th gen gets buried.
R.I.P. legit PSP Go users.
As mentioned in the OP, you can still use a PS3 or MediaGo. Or you can, y'know, back your content up. ;)

Not that I want to burst your bubble or something, but the DS has gone offline ages ago and the Wii can only use the Wii Shop Channel at this point. Old consoles are eventually discontinued and support is cut, there's nothing weird or unfair about that.

Implying everyone has a PS3.
MediaGo would be an option yes, but I doubt the people that buy Go's now will know what it is, let alone have heard of it.

Then again, I've actually never seen a legit Go user as well .-.

The software is literally a part of the bundle, you can't "not hear" about it. :P

I hope not because the Wii Shop channel is a very key element for playing classic games its comforting to know that the scene's progress in restoring Nintendo Wifi is making progress maybe they could restore PS Store functionality the same way
