Hacking I Just found a CRASH ON YOUTUBE!!!

YES THE ONE AND ONLY youtube app!!! what happened you ask well here it is!!!
I was looking on gba temp for ways to watch vine and other video steaming sites and youtube could do it so i suceded and got on vine but the 3ds would not load the page fast enough and crashed with the youtube banner frozen then a message appered saying to save my data and restart the system so i did and no here i am typing all this ONE QUESTION REMAINS CAN THIS BE USED AS AN EXPLOIT????

If yes, just a entry-point to write a ROP-Chain on ARM11 user-land, nothing more than it(like acess ARM9 or ARM11 code exec), it need other hax to work.

nope if the crash caused the console to reset its pretty much useless.......im pretty sure this was posted a long time ago to about using youtube to access other sites and making it crash

The Youtube app is just an overlay for the Internet Browser with some plugins as far as I know. It crashes because it sucks.

True But my point is the whole system hanged on the youtube banner on youtube so and also the 3ds responded to it as if it was miiverse or the internet browser so why would it do that?

Because Nintendo's web browser sucks ass, that's really the only reason. It might be exploitable, it turned out to be exploitable on the Wii U, but I think someone already looked into it on the 3DS and the same glitch did not work.

Never Start saying no until you have Real hard evedience that somone has Tried that exploit on the 3ds

im pretty sure for the crash to be useful it has to actually crash the system and make it hang, if it crashes and forces a restart it will likely be useless

No i pressed the power button it didn't automatically restart i restarted the system Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Well, I'm sure that it was tried and the exception was handled. Not saying that there aren't any other bugs and glitches in the app (there's plenty because it sucks), but exploitable ones usually have to lay as low as within the Webkit the browser is based on.

Ok but Probably my 3ds Kernel and Os Locked up and hanged for a good 30 seconds so that is semi close to what my crash looked like But really that looks quite interesting...

Not really. As it was stressed many times before, just because an app or a game is buggy doesn't mean that it's exploitable in any way. The Youtube app on the 3DS is infamous specifically because it's crap and crashes all the time, even if you look at it funny - that doesn't make it exploitable though.
