Hacking 3DS 6.1 FW Downgrade to 4.4FW running Gateway (PIC, VIDEO)

I have successfully achieved the impossible, I've spent many months trying to crack this thing and finally after many countless nights I have sucessfully downgraded my 6.1 3DS right down to 4.4 running gateway. there's no point in me discussing the method on how to do so here, since the majority of you are all casual users and don't have a degree in computer systems engineering.

I don't know if this method will work on systems higher than 6.1 and I'm unable to test this as I only have the one 3ds, I also know for a fact that there are still plenty of 6.1 systems on retail shelves which means there are still plenty of exploitable consoles out there, I am strongly against piracy and only run legal backups on my system and so should you (support the devs!).

with that being said I am deciding not to release this as in doing so will probably see a exponential increase in flashcart use on the 3DS much like the previous NDS era.

the purpose of this thread is to inform non believers (false prophets & the Chinese mafia) that it is indeed possible to downgrade the system, I may release this in the future and when i do i will most likely update this thread.

if i showed the method of downgrading on screen as proof than that'll totally go against everything that i believe in regarding piracy not to mention everyone will know how to do it, your argument is invalid.

Here's an idea. Since there is no known method to spoof the mac address of the 3ds. Show your 3ds running 6.1 and then show the mac address. Then "downgrade" your 3ds to 4.4 and show the mac address again. This way you can prove that you can really downgrade without showing us how you did it.

It's a simple enough method of proving it. Any excuses to not do it will pretty much conclusively prove it's a hoax.

That wouldn't even prove it as you can actually downgrade if you have the hardware mod but seeing as he. Virtually definitely just swapped the motherboard he probably couldn't even do.that
