Look dude, I've rooted and customized many android devices. The hardest on my list being the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. I've never posted a single topic, or even a single question. All the information is out there. Why should we be your information slave? Just google what you need. If you want to just run old roms, get an emulator and do it. If you want to steal android apps, google how to root the xperia.

You would download the games *.apk file (which you're not going to find on GBAtemp), put it on your microSD card and browse to it with a file manager of your choice. I happen to like Solid Explorer, though it's not free after the trial period. ES File Explorer is another one people like, just open the Play Store and look for "file explorer" and you'll find more than you can wrap your head around.

You're also going to need to go into Settings -> Security and allow installing form unknown sources (also known as "sideloading").

You'll then browse to the apk file with your file explorer and tap it to install it. And that's it.

Some games, especially ones that also need extra data files (which will usually come with the apk download) will need those files placed in a specific directory and the app, once installed, may or may not need to be patched with Lucky Patcher to get it to skip license validation. RTFM and you'll be alright.

Everything you will ever need to know about the Xperia Play. Ever. Beware, there's a LOT of information to take in on that site.

Edit - because posting this answer was SO HARD:glare:

As far as I know, you don't need root access for yer Android device to play backups.
However, lots of people install custom ROMS on theirs to get rid of the bloatware n to customize it etc.

I'd say install a custom ROM as well.
Make a backup of yer phone and keep that safe at all times!
There's a ton of guides on how to root/install custom ROMS on xda developers.

Its as easy as copy paste, for example I wound search Google for monopoly 1.4 apk.
Copy the apk onto my phone and then just run said apk using a file manager, simple. If your unknown sources are off it'll prompt you then take you to the right setting, tick that box and try again

I don't know what you would even need that for, a specialised APK installer? o_o Android has its own built in which works just fine, provided you have a means of accessing the APK, which is why I linked ES File Explorer in my last post. Honestly I'd just use that. Copy the games to the microSD and then install them with ES File Explorer. If you don't have a microSD you're going to want one anyway.

The easiest would be a black market app... there's at least one that still works.
