Hey All,

I've been hacking my consoles for a while and finally got around to ordering a Wii U yesterday (apparently it'll be here tomorrow!). The unit I ordered was one of the refurb deluxe models with Nintendo land and I understand how to get the HBC and cIOSs on it (thanks to [Truth] and asper for the awesome tutorials) but just have a few questions bout hacking the vWii side of things.

1. I'm not sure what system menu v. will be on my WiiU when I get it (if anyone knows that'd be great, I'm assuming 5.0), would it matter if the newest (5.1) is installed on it already? I'm more concerned about vWii for this but as I understand it also changes addresses (doesn't actually patch) for the current WiiU exploit which *could* lead to WiiU homebrew
2. I currently have my Wii setup with Wiiflow and all my emulators, Wii, and GC on one partition (ntfs I believe but haven't looked in a while) will anything have to changed (formatting, data structure, etc.) to plug the drive into my WiiU (vWii)
3. I don't use NAND emulation on my Wii currently (I believe) since I don't really have to many system menu items (VC games moved to emulators generally), but I do have a few (custom ones included) can these be installed straight to the vWii system menu after modding? I understand some wads/channels/homebrew doesn't play nice with the WiiU, is it just a matter of looking up the compatibility for each?
4. GC loading is currently handled through DIOS MIOS which won't work with the vWii, is compatability on Nintendont just as good (since this also works on the Wii)? I understand it needs a very specific data structure so switching between DIOS MIOS and Nintendont (on the Wii) wouldn't be as easy as simply changing the GC loader in WiiFlow.

I would like to softmod my WiiU when an exploit (and homebrew) is released but my main concern is the vWii currently since I already have a massive library set up exactly as I like (all emus with cover art, scummvm configs, etc). I'd prefer to be able to plug and switch the HD between the Wii and the WiiU, will this be possible currently (if not I have a LOT of extra HDs being in the IT industry and the Wii not requiring massive drives like the PS3)? Any answers are appreciated and thanks for the help.

1. don't care what system came with your cansole, all have the exploit, but the developers need to port it to 5.0.0, 5.1.0 seems to work the same that 5.0.0.

2. vWii Wiiflow works the same with Wii, but I don't use Wiiflow to load games, you don't need new format.

3.For prevent a brick, don't install any theme, in google I found a tutorial for compiling vWii Sneek. Here is the link for the tutorial of vSneek:
http://www.hacksden.com/showthread.php/8119-Compiling-a-vWii-compatible-version-of-SNEEK

4.Well, Nintendont works in Wii too, it's easy to use, you need to create a folder named games, another folder inside called the name you want, the iso inside that folder named game.iso and it is working!

The exploit for Wii U 5.0.0 might be relased in 2015.

Hey there! Having some issues over here.

I live in Latin America and have an European WiiU, and I'd like to get an exploit-compatible game (was thinking of Batman, since Bathaxxx seems to be the easiest and most stable hack around), to install homebrew into vWii.

However, I can't get European Retail Wii games here.

What can I do? Any ideas?

Lego Batman is used because honestly is probably the cheapest

Thanks for all your replies. :)

So, it seems I can either order a game from overseas (to hack the vWii mode) or I can wait until the MK8 exploit is ready (which would allow me to... hack the WiiU mode? I still don't understand the whole vWii-WiiU modes thing).

Had I known that the MK8 exploit runs on 4.1 I wouldn't have updated the system to the latest version. Is there a way of downgrading it?

Well, you can buy one copy from ebay, I had bought a Super Mario 3D World, and it took 6 mounth to come, but I have it.
