There are already better alternatives to even that as far as performance power goes. The only thing impressive about the icube is it's size. 8 cubic square inches, and that the $70 and up models have 64-bit ARM processors.

If you want some serious emulation and gaming without plugging in a laptop, then you should look up TV-based devices with a Rockchip RK3288 processor. The GPU on that thing nearly rivals $600+ flagship devices that released less than a year ago. Only one or two devices with that chip just became available for purchase about 2 weeks ago.

I like it, but I don't like the way the world is miniaturizing everything.

Take the eSATA... that's a decent feature.... but it also means (unless there's an internal eSATA to USB3 conversion going on) that the motherboard would be quite capable of having an on-board SATA. Put it in a nice mini-ITX case with a hard drive or two, stick a decent Linux distro (or even Android) and appropriate software, and you've got the ultimate NAS with DNLA Server, direct playback, and gaming facilities.
