Ever since Nintendo did that update to the vWii a few months ago, these games have black bars on both the left and right of the screen. I don't like it. Is there a why to make it full screen?

Run the games through Wiiflow.
If you have the HBC custom channel with 16:9, then running any WiiWare or VC game through Wiiflow will make them fullscreen.

I see. Where can I download a HBC custom channel and the latest version of Wiiflow? (I use usb loader gx).
Try with USB Loader.
Let me know if that worked. Remember to load the WiiWare games (stored in NAND) through USB Loader and enable 16:9 in the losder

I dont understand why Nintendo insists on making the games smaller, its not like they looked bad in full screen. In Wii U mode they did the same thing. They should at least add an option, the GBA games do.

Quite oppositely to you I can't understand anyone would ever want to stretch out a 4:3 picture to 16:9. :)

I'm trying different settings, but it still isn't working.
When you enter Wiiflow, press B, then look for something that looks like Wii channels in the images or icons that are present (I think it is the third one).

Choose that one and look for your Megaman games, click ONE time A button and the cover will zoom in, then go to the cog icon at the right and change the display mode to 16:9

I don't see an option for display mode. Just video mode. And it doesn't have 16:9 option.

I don't even have an HD TV. Mine is an old sony trinitron from 2001.

When Megaman 9 and Megaman 10 are ran in a Wii console configured with a 16:9 screen, it stretches the image to emulate a 4:3 experience. Since the Wii has no real 16:9 resolution, you are losing a lot of detail. Other games like Resident Evil archives do the same.

If you want to play these games in their real resolutions just configure the console in 4:3 and let the TV stretch/reduce the image to your tastes.
However, after setting the vWii in 4:3 I don't know if you have to do other changes to your loader.
