Why are they showing a teaser for a game that might not be out for at least 2 or 3 more years. That's like showing off Final Fantasy Versus XIII and--oh...

Keep on milk'n that cash-cow.

Seriously, how many releases between 2 and 3 now?
To be fair, these HD releases, I can actually agree with. Before them, it was a pain in the ass if you actually wanted to play all of the entries:
- 2 games on the PS2
- 1 game on the PSP
- 1 game on the GBA, re-released on the PS2
- 2 games on the DS
- 1 game on the 3DS

At least here, it knocks it all down to being able to just be:
- 6 games on the PS3 in 2 collections
- 1 game on the 3DS

They also remove having to actually play the super terrible DS entries in the series, which is a major plus to me. This is also a good way to bridge the gap between the major numbered releases. If somebody wants to replay the series and refresh their memory before the third game, it's now easily possible. All in all, this was actually a really smart decision on part of Square Enix. It helps that, for example, Kingdom Hearts 1 wasn't just made a bit prettier. They even recoded some of the mechanics to make the battling feel a little less archaic. It still isn't as smooth as it could be, but it isn't nearly as bad as it used to be either when looking at the differences in the battle system between the first and second games. As well, these are Final Mix versions of the games coming over, which Americans and Europeans never got official releases for in the past. These do have more content worth playing.

All in all, I can get why somebody wouldn't like the Kingdom Hearts series, and I can easily see why anyone could feel they were milking it. I definitely agree that, especially the DS entries, although filling in some story gaps, were better off being presented the way they are now in the HD remixes than ever being forced on us as games to actually be payed for. These HD remixes though are some of the last bit of milking they can really do with the series though with everything pre-KH3. They can't do much else in the future to really make any of the games in the collections better.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to this. I've played every KH game at least a little (just never beat shitty Re: Coded or the super shitty Dream Drop Distance), and having nearly all of the KH games readily available in some form between two discs will be nice.

Nathan Drake which games are in which collection?
KH 1.5 contains:
KH Final Mix (with some extra fixes just for this release)
KH: Re-Chain of Memories (PS2 version, made HD, no other major changes)
KH: 358/2 Days, presented in a series of movies that total a little over three hours, as recoding the entirety of the DS entry to work on the PS3 was probably too much work

KH 2.5 contains:
KH 2 Final Mix
KH Birth By Sleep Final Mix
KH Re: Coded in the same fashion as 358/2 Days, presumably for some of the same reasons as well as this being the weakest entry in the entire series

The only game left out is KH 3D, likely because it's still so new and they don't want to detract potential sales from the 3DS version as KH3 gets closer.

We never got the KH2/BBS Final mix versions.
While BBS Final mix doesn't add as much as the English release, KH2:FM has the biggest upgrade/improvements of all FM versions.

It went so far as to even add additional story scenes instead of just an overhaul of gameplay.
KH2:FM makes the original KH2 look barebones, and it's also my favorite KH game in the whole series.

Where is KH BBS 2?:(
Considering KH1 is already a direct sequel to BBS, CoM expands on some concepts from BBS, and KH3 will directly involve all the main players from BBS in their first collective appearance since BBS, I'd say there is absolutely no room for a BBS 2.

The Birth By Sleep final mix secret end teased a Birth By Sleep - Volume 2 or something.
