The games mostly and the GamePad, I can't really praise anything else.

As for the games these would be Wii U's most memorable, the popular ones pretty much:

Bayonetta 2
Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze
Game and Wario
Lego City Undercover
Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games: Sochi 2014
Mario Kart 8
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
New Super Luigi U
New Super Mario Bros. U
Nintendo Land
Pikmin 3
Rayman Legends
Shin Megami X Fire Emblem
Sonic: Boom
Sonic: Lost World
Super Mario 3D World
Super Smash Bros. 4 (Final Title Yet to be Revealed)
The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors (Final Title Yet to be Revealed)
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
The Wonderful 101
Xenoblade 2 (Final Title Yet to be Revealed)
Zombi U

This list is generally good but not great because if Nintendo wanted they could have brought other franchises than just Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Smash and Donkey Kong (DK:TP is a fun game but nothing new, imo).

Isn't the Smash game officially called "Super Smash Bros. for WiiU"? At least that's what it's been since forever, there's logos for it, the "for" is a pun on SSB4, I doubt it's going to change.

-Fantastic backwards compatibility, including hardware support from 2 gens ago (upcoming gamecube controller adapter.)
-Game streaming right out of the box, I don't personally give a shit but some people want it; Sony advertises the ps4/vita streaming, so apparently it's useful to some people
-Massive catalog of old classics (not important to me the rom pirate but to the legit consumers this should be a factor.)
-Power isn't on par with next gen Sony/MS, but frankly I believe PS4/Boner are unimpressive (1080p/60fps should be absolutely standard by now, let alone 4k gaming)
-Still much potential regarding the gamepad to alter the history of the Wii U
-Decent social crap (lots of decent artwork regularly posted and prominently displayed on the home screen)

I am no Wii U fanboy, but I think Nintendo is doing SOME good things with the Wii U. It's still overpriced and under-supported.

Warnings of what not to do are a positive thing. Granted it would be better if said warning was for something a little less obvious but a reminder that basic physics and business logic does still exist is OK I guess.

I think the Wii U will be fine. I can't help to feel the "doom of the Wii U" is more of a bandwagon today. We shall see what Nintendo have up their sleeve.

NintendoLand is considerably better than WiiSports if you ask me. Though its not nearly as popular as Wii Sports either. But at the end of the day, game-wise it will be remembered for the same things all Nintendo consoles are: A great Mario or 2, Mario Kart, great Zelda or 2, Super Smash, Kirby, and some combination of their other core franchises (Metroid, Pikmin, Star Fox, F-Zero, etc.). In other words, as has been the way with Nintendo since essentially the N64, 1st and 2nd Party titles will make it something to write home about, 3rd party support will be weak, and there will only be very few great 3rd party titles.

Also, to anyone who says that Super Mario 3D World is only "OK" has clearly not been consistently playing it with more than one person. Yeah, 1 player mode is ok at best, but that game instantly becomes a ton of fun the moment you add a second player.

I said that it's a WiiSport equivalent, not that it's better or worse - it's clearly better because WiiSports was a tech demo at best. :rofl2:

In my opinion, Super Mario 3D World looks like Super Mario 3D Land inflated to a home console level, hence the "meh". I'm sure that it's fun on Multiplayer, so is New Super Mario Bros., but neither of those games is a second Mario 64.

On the whole "streaming out of the box" point, I'd like to add that yes, video does stream to the gamepad and that's great. The problem is that the gamepad has very limited range, so you can really only reasonably stream in a +/- 20 feet radius around the console before you lose signal. The PS4 can stream to the PSVita via the Internet if you so feel like it and yes, it does require a hefty connection, but with stuff like Google Fiber spreading across the world this will be a non-issue sooner than you think.

Well I wouldn't compare it to Mario 64, its clearly a different type of game altogether, supposedly they're working on a more traditional Mario 64/Galaxy game, that would be the title I measure against 64. It's more of a combination of the console New Super games and Super Mario 3D Land. As I said as a single player game, its not very exciting, but it really is a ton of fun multiplayer, its amazing all the unique different ways you can play the game once another person or 2 or 3 are added. Hands down the best local multiplayer game I can recall in a loooong time.

Let's see what 20ft is in metres... 6 metres. Bleh. "Feet" makes it seem like it's a lot.

I can't leave my room with the GamePad or else the game starts to de-sync from the console.
