Remember all those pleads for new GBA titles for Nintendo's Virtual Console? Capcom has answered your pleas! Below is a direct quote from Capcom, but unfortunately Europe/Australia have to wait a while longer for actual confirmation.

"We are working on bringing this and other GBA titles to the North American Virtual Console,” a Capcom spokesperson said. “We’ll have more information about the lineup in the coming months. For Australia and Europe, we are still in discussions about the release of Virtual Console titles for those markets.”

I'd prefer this on the 3DS tbh. While I love the series, it's not worth purchasing a Wii U for. Guess I'll be sticking to emus like usual.

Hey Nintendo take my Wii Virtual Console suggestion: Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom

Oh and make this game playable again online, it's so awesome and addictive plus it has Mega Man as a playable character (not that fat jerk from Street Fighter X Tekken).

How will you get the other chips from white? Are they gonna be implemented or somethin? Kinda weird that that is on the Wii u and not 3ds does not seem like the software seller should stick to putting Gamecube games more so.

You probably won't. I doubt they'd do something like alter the game just so all chips are available.

.

That game is a licensing nightmare. The license even expired around 3 years after the Western release and they had to pull it off digital stores.

They cut down lots of additional features for the GBA ambassador games for 3DS (ie multiplayer, additional hardware of any kind like rumble pack/solar sensor/gyro sensor...), the GBC VC games on 3DS (no GBA enhancements for some games), the N64 games (additional hardware not emulated).

So I don't think they would bother at all with this (they could do like Nintendo did with Oracle games, but it's different and would require modifying the binary+emulator to get to work).
Neither would they restore the e-Reader content cut from non-Japanese versions and/or emulate it properly if available (only time they did so was with two DS ports, as a separate extra menu option added during the porting)

digital store for a Wii game?? I knew no Wii (full)game was sold digitally.

you mean Megaman Zero Collection?? yeah, they added the eReader features of MMZ3 as unlockable options on a menu. which works fine for MMZ but for games like Boktai where you need to be under the sun would be a little boring, you could select the sun setting that suit you in any situation and take away the challenge, there is a fanmade patch for the game anyway that let you select just that.

the thing is that Nintendo shouldn't release(or allow) games when you can't really 100% completed. if you are going to sell something, that something needs to be complete or at least clearly advertise that isn't.

My bad. I was typing this while thinking about a Marvel vs Capcom game.
Nevertheless for that Tatsunoko Wii game, Capcom doesn't have the right to sell it anymore in stores after a certain date back in early 2013.

And actually a lot of games on the Wii VC, let alone Wii U and 3DS's VC stores, are impossible to 100%, due to various connectivity or hardware features never being properly emulated (this laziness could be attributed to Nintendo).

I wonder what kind of licencing problem is going on with Marvel vs Capcom 2, since Marvel vs Capcom Origins(which includes Marvel super heroes) and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 are still available. EDIT: after checking more carefully only the Vita version of UMVSC3 is available.

there are some emulated games that made everything playable, the better example is Sonic & Knuckles on the Wii VC that include all the lock-on features(granted you have the other games).

I would agree with you if this were a full price game, but chances are it isn't. And unless you cheat (or buy two copies) you're going to have a hard time finding people to trade with for a GBA game.

So you'd rather nobody else play get to play a game because it cannot fully offer the same experience in VC form compared to its original platform?

I mean, what happened to the playing for the sake of playing?

That's what happens when people want to get their money's worth. Pirate it and you get infinity times your money's worth.

maybe I was a little extreme there, but let's put the example of Pokemon, OK get my first pokemon, check, beat all the gym leaders and get the badges, check, beat the elite four and become the champion, check, catch Mewtwo, check, complete the pokedex, nope I can't because my poor Kadabra can't evolve without transfer ;O;
if they where to put it in VC form without link cable functionality then you'll be unable to fulfill one of the primary objectives of the game, and I doubt they'll be editing the roms to make features irrelevant.
the point I wanted to make is that some games rely on said functions and those game shouldn't be released without that fixed(like Boktai and his solar sensor, WarioWare Twisted with gyroscope and the Pokemon example above), while other games use them for extras(like Zelda oracles and Shantae with the GBA enhanced features) and I find that is perfectly fine to release them without the extra functions, in fact, I have both Zelda oracles games and Shantae on my 3DS.

Now that you're talking about it, it'd be so awesome if they altered Robopon to allow the 3DS' wireless or infrared to pick up the remote buttons.

You could just play the better version of TvC, which is just Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Also fat original Megaman > weeb shit Megaman.

The Oracles stuff is not optional at all though. It's required to link saves to get the true end. Then again I think they fixed it for the VC release, and even if not it's possible to use the codes.

you are right about that and they didn't added the link cable functionality, you need to do the transfer through password and still complete both games. but I was talking about the advance shop anyway.
