Due to popular demand, ‘Fenix Fire’ is officially announcing that a stretch-goal has been added to the game’s Crowdfunding Campaign currently running on KickStarter adding support for the Wii U! Due to technical concerns it was uncertain whether the Nintendo Wii U had enough underlying power to render the phenomenal graphics, shaders, and explosive particle eruptions required for the full gaming experience. Thankfully, ‘Fenix Fire’ has found ways of bringing SOURCE to the Wii U, adding support to an already impressive list of platforms that also include the Xbox One, PS4®, and PC (through Steam).

you know what are good Metroidvania games?....
Metroid & Castlevania games....
GODAMNIT NINTENDO AND KONAMI GIVE US MORE METROIDVANIA GAMES!

If you missed Shaman King Master of Spirits (both of them) by Konami for the GBA I'd recommend you check on them.
There are other decent Konami licensed games using the same engine but I wouldn't recommend them because they're either actiony and linear aka not that much Metroidvania (Gegege no Kitaro PS1/GBA, different versions) or inspired by the "older" Castlevanias (Hunter x Hunter Kindan no Hihou aka Forbidden Treasure GBC).

The best alternatives so far would be Valdis Story, Guacamelee, Aquaria, maybe Monster Tale DS (but it's more like Monster World IV) and Cave Story, but all of these sadly no matter how great they are lack a certain something, and in some cases, the polish.

I tried one of those supposedly CV engine Shaman King games for GBA but it really didn't feel very Metvan to me. Add to that it being based from some cartoon or something I never saw, my interest in it waned pretty quickly.

Looks...decent?
If that was supposed to be a metroidvania, someone MAY want to give the dev a poke and explain what Metroidvania actually means.
Protip: it's not just a random word, it actually means something.
If you're going to market a game as a metroidvania, show why it's a freakin' metroidvania. Maybe you'll get some money.

I'd say it has a slim chance to be funded, and I can almost guarantee that a WiiU port for 25k more is not going to be particularly appealing enough to ever push them that far.

Too ambitious a price. Should've shot for half that, maybe even 20k.

it looks like a great game, despite the description not being too keen in terms of calling it a metroidvania style but still, total support just wish the wii u wasnt a stretch goal

Nintendo should just donate money to some of these kickstarters. Who knows maybe one of these will turn out to be a big hit and they'll make back the donation and then some in Wii-U version sales.
