Anyone lose their phone with Cerberus?

Lost my phone at a Walmart, 40-ish minutes later I find that it took a journey to another part of town. I sent messages leaving my phone, address, and the mention of $40 reward, but no response and the phone has since been shutoff.

Cerberus told me the GPS coordinates, IP address of the home it connected to, and took a picture of a teenage mexican girl that apparently doesn't understand English as she's apparently not aware of mucho dinero.

GBA Temp, What do? How did you wrestle your phone away from a small girl you don't know?

Assuming you do not have (current) backups then dump whatever data you need from it now. Lock or remove anything too sensitive if that is an option, don't turn on self destruct lest the phone be pitched as a result. If you can hide something to demonstrate it is yours then fantastic.

Call the police on their non emergency number (if the building is nearby perhaps go in person), explain the situation and they should be able to help. If it is a contract phone then bring a bill, for a pay as you go (or whatever it is called over there) you may also want nice pieces of paper.

Ninja missions are best reserved for last resort type things and are not that wise an idea even then.

No sensitive info worth deleting and its neither contract or Pay as you go. Its an unlocked htc one. Even so, I cant delete anything if its turned off or not connected.

They weren't even interested in all the data I gathered and printed. I just left a note in the mail of the resident and picked it up at a later time.

The only terrible thing was they removed my emails and accounts from the phone, and seeing as my my phone is like 95% paid apps, it pretty much crippled my phone for an hour, and I'm still trying to reconfigure everything back to normal. Nothing would function properly, even the keyboard. I've got everything back to order almost, but a BIG thing I noticed is all the music that I had is now gone, but the folders, and album arts were still there. Anything on the device that was known as a music file just disappeared.
