Is there some way to add more channel "tiles" so to speak on the wii's home page? I have a lot of wiiware and vconsole games and didn't know if there was a way to add more pages of screens to put them on.
There's a way to install more channels but not on your real NAND.
What you need is Emulated NAND, to install channels on virtual Wii memory stored on your SD or USB.
instead of 512MB you now have a maximum of 2TB of storage space at once.
There are few homebrew to do this.
Sneek: Fully emulates the Wii behavior, you see a system menu like if you were on your internal memory, but it's using the Wii copy emulated on SD or USB.
With sneek, you can install more than 48 channels at once, and it has perfect compatibility.
As it's behaving like the real Wii menu, you can't display more than 48 channels, but there's a homebrew called "snort48+" to choose the first 48 channels you want to display.
Don't use Snort48+ on real NAND!
For each homebrew, you will have to learn how to setup and use it.
Then, you can install as many channel you want and have two possibilities:
- If using sneek, you are limited to 48 tiles. install Snort48+ channel into sneek NAND and run it to select which games are displayed on the menu.
If you already have too many channels and don't see Snort48, use sneek integrated menu to select the channel you want to launch from a list then move it in visible tiles.
- I never tested, but users are launching USBLoaderGX from inside Sneek, and select "Real NAND Channels" (which are in fact the one installed on Sneek, the loader consider it the real NAND). This way you can list all channels without limit. When you launch a game, it's running on Sneek with good compatibility.
You don't need to install a cIOS, you can use IOS58 with latest revision of USBLoaderGX from my signature.
Ah. Is your USB Loader GX updated to the latest version and set to use IOS249? If it's set to use 250 or another cIOS instead that could be causing the problem since USB loader channels will always use 249 (except in special cases)I really should have been more specific. I have sneek, working with USB loader GX. I have to load my games from sneek because USB loader seems to have problems loading some of the wads, and have been running out of space for channel "tiles". I've considered trying WiiFlow again, but because this is on the family console, it could be confusing for my younger siblings to switch from USB loader to wiiflow.

IOS249 (assuming d2x with base 56) supports nearly every game and the rest can be set to use 250 (with base 57) on a game-by-game basis so USB Loader GX should be perfect for your needs, just set it to the banner view mode so it looks exactly like the Wii Menu.
A way to have more channels on the Wii Menu would be to move some of your things to a SD card, which has no limit to the amount of channels from my knowledge. More pages are added automatically as needed.
It sounds like you're not using the right IOS for that game. You may want to use ModMii to update your cIOS (make sure to pick v10 beta) and make sure the default cIOS for games is set to 249 in the USB Loader GX settings. Any games that won't run after that, you can just go to the game settings and change the IOS for that game to 250 and it should run.I am on 294 dx2 ect, but for some reason my games still tend to blackscreen. I'm not sure why it is they do though.
cIOS are not supporting all VC/Wiiware games installed on emuNAND.
you need a neek environment, or specific cIOS version for few games.
Most games should work fine when launched from RealNAND using the cIOS emuNAND redirect method.
run USBGX from RealNAND, set your EmuNAND path and install channels on it.
for better game compatibility, set emuNAND on root of SD, it will work with all cIOS.
N64Games may require cIOS based on IOS38 (try cIOS rev19).
If you really have games not working, you will need sneek or neek2o method (not implemented in USBGX yet).

There are two method to use EmuNAND:
cIOS : IOS and homebrew loaded from RealNAND. The IOS redirects all NAND access to SD or USB. Can redirect only "/title/" folder (Partial EmuNAND) or all folders (Full emuNAND).
neek: IOS and homebrew loaded from EmuNAND. no redirection is done on IOS level. You don't need cIOS at all. The homebrew doesn't even know you are not running on RealNAND and consider the emuNAND as the real one.
When you use neek2o mode in wiiflow, it actually reload into sneek without telling you, and exit back to realNAND when you exit the game.
Don't delete anything!
I think you don't understand fully how your console is working.
You can have BOTH cIOs and neek2o at the same time, it's two different things which are not conflicting.
It's only an option in the USBloader. you choose either to run channel using cIOS or neek2o.
If you delete cIOS, wii games will not work anymore.
Just use wiiflow, set channel mode to neek2o (if it's not the default mode), and you should have 100% compatibility.
All my gamesaves are in the wii system memory so no need for that. I'm on my phone in the car so this is extremely difficult. Looks like I'm switching to WiiFlow, but I'm going to try USBLGX on my neek2o nand first. Thanks for all the help!!oh, then it's fine
you canon delete the NAND dump, but backup your savegames first if any.
sorry for bumping this but I have the same questionWhat's the max amount of tiles you can have on a neek2o emunand before it stops booting correctly? I'm getting sick of re-creating nands and adding games to them. For instance I'll create the nand, add a bunch of wiiware and vc games and when I go to neek2o it usually gets to the warning screen and then blackscreens/freezes, but the nand worked before I added games to it.
Also, is there any way to set up more than one uneek di nand and be able to switch between the two with ease? Also, can you get neek2o nands to boot usbloadergx/wiiflow on startup? Sorry for so many questions.
sorry for bumping this but I have the same question
whats the max amount of wiiware+vc games I can install before it stops booting? maybe is there a way to bypass that limit?
