Hardware To all 3ds xl owners

my US 3DS had the 4gb Lexar in it, but my JP 3DS had a Toshiba 4gb (made in japan) in it.

Why does the JP XL come with a 4GB Toshiba, and the other regions get the cheap crap?

Lexar 4GB (Korea) in a Red/Black XL firmware 4.4, my daughters Pink/White 4.5 XL came with a Samsung 4GB (Korea), and my launch day regular 3DS came with a 2GB Toshiba (Japan).

Just had a chance to check out mine.

My Red/Black 3DS XL came with a Lexar c4 card, Made in Korea as well. I've yet to really use it, and was planning on trading it out as soon as I could get my hands on muh Gateway 3DS (and do the system transfer).

Given the culture, I am somewhat leaning to xenophobia as the reason. Or it could just be that Lexar gave Nintendo a better deal for every other region.

Yeah, I got a Korean 4GB Lexar with mine.

Red XL with a Lexar, blue one with a Samsung.

I've never had trouble with Lexars.

I did a benchmark test on both of the 4GB sdhc card in question, the samsung is the better one.

This is the Lexar 4GB card.

Everyone, thank you thank you and again THANK YOU for taking your time and checking it out. It seems that most of the cards are made by Lexar (which is an American company but outsources to Korea for I dont know what reason). It saddens me that Nintendo went from high quality Japanese made SD cards, to some cheap crap. no xenophobia intended)

My Zelda 3DS XL Came with a Samsung SDHC (don't know if that matters), Class 4, made in Korea.

The good old Wii had a 4GB Sony SDHC Class 4.....guess Nintendo's quality is dropping since the 3ds release...

Btw. Lexar cards are so cheap, u shouldn't take them out too often....they get scratches just by your tough look ;D
