What many fail to understand is free speech means you're free to say what you want as long as it doesn't encroach on anyone elses freedoms, and that only applies to government entities. If you come into my house and start telling me my wife is a slut and my son is a dumbass, I'll throw you out without a second thought. And that's well within my rights. If you go into a Barnes and Noble and start telling everyone in the self help section how all those books are shit and not worth the money, it's well within their right to throw you out as well.

If you're the owner of a public building or business and start slinging hate speech, people can rally to let others know that you're a hatemonger and no one should shop at your store/go to your church, and that's well within their rights as well.
