Gaming Firered / leafgreen Mystery Gift?

I have a original leafgreen cartridge that I would like to get access to the mystery gift items.

Is there any way to emulate the Nintendo Wifi event gifts or a way to transfer them from a EZ-flash IV cartridge to the original one?

Mystery Gift worked differently back then. First of all, there were no Wi-Fi events; the GBA didn't support Wi-Fi. Furthermore, there weren't event cards like there are for the DS games. You received the item directly.

With an R4 (or other DS flashcard) you can copy a save file to and from a GBA cartridge using Rodolph's GBA backup tool. Copy your save to your computer, do what you need to do on an emulator, and copy it back.

If you even still look on here, there are AR codes to let you buy the tickets at the PokéMart, then you have to use another AR code to activate the event so that they guy at the boat in Vermilion recognizes your tickets and takes you to the islands.

Yes you can transfer a sav file to a real cartridge i've done it using rodolph's gba tool I did this with pokemon emerald

Mario Golf and Mario Tennis probably being among the best i've played using it!
I really wish it had better compatibility.

but yeah anyways you can use the gba tool on an r4 card rip the save game and dump the rom load it up in the emulator do what ever it you want to do using ar codes save the game then copy the save back to the cartridge and you'll have what ever you did on the computer on your cartridge

Not unless you only own AGS-101, DSi w/ DStwo, legit leaf green card, and a EZ-flash IV.
So I'm not able to do this combination of tools i already have. I'll need to track down a DS or DSlite.

Yes, there were wireless adapters. They weren't Wi-Fi, though. Proprietary tech.
Rudolph's tool works with legit cartridges.
And yes, you're going to have to track down a DS/Lite.

There is a gba emulator for the dstwo there's actually 2 of them there's one made by the gbatemp forum members and one made by the SC team itself the gbatemp one is a modified version of the SC team plugin so you could grab a dslite or if a friend you know has one borrow theirs for a few minutes to rip your rom's and save files by storing Rudolph's gba backup tool on your dstwo.


Store the .Nds file which is the backup program in the root of your sdcard you'll get a configuration text file after the first run edit it if you wish to store your roms and saves somewhere like "fat0:/roms/gba" after it's configured pop the scds2 in a nds/ndsl along with the gba game of your choice backup the game and save. the GUI is fairly easy to understand pop the scds2 in your dsi load the gba plugin of your choice and you'll have your game up and running in no time at all and you'll start of where you left off on your cartridges

Of course, my plan is to have a successful backup of my original fire red game.

Ideally:

Borrow DS lite -> Launch Rudoplh's too from DStwo -> backup game + save data

Where I get confused:

If Rudoplh's tool will back up my save file as a .sav or a format either a emulator or a EZ-flash IV can use.
Idealy I would want to use my EZ-flash IV instead of my orginal fire red cartridge to run my original sav off of. Though im not 100% sure this is possible.
