The Ouya is back, baby! Bigger storage, better WiFi capabilities, the latest firmware, and a better controller! A must own device for anyone interested in ummm..

All of this for a measly price of $129!
The PS4 had a good run.

Umm ... I think we have an Ouya fanboy on our hands.

Really, though, expanded storage? That's like getting this excited every time the PS3 released a new model with a bigger hard drive. It's a nice addition but it's not exactly enough to destroy the competition.

(and I'm not really sure that a 8gb of flash memory constitutes a $30 price increase ... maybe it's the controller?)

Yeeeeaaaahhhhh BUDDY!
Honestly, I have to ask: what is even remotely exciting about this? A measly 8GB more that will barely cost them anything to implement, yet they're so ecstatic about? "A new and improved" controller for all of those five people who apparently didn't like the first one enough? Specs that still don't even measure up to a large number of smartphones? This is legitimately the biggest disappointment a person could even consider wasting their money on.

So... uhm... this is to be considered an improvement... and I'm supposed to ignore that the original OUYA had a USB slot and as such could side-load applications anyways? Okay, I'll try. :)

Seriously though, what this system needed was an SD slot, not more built-in memory. People who want more memory should be allowed the option to be flexible with its expansion and I know that it's already compatible with USB flash drives but an SD is more easily concealed and convenient. Frankly, I don't quite understand why the first one didn't have an SD slot - if it did, most users would just shove a 32GB/64GB SD card in it and forget about their storage woes.

I'm pretty sure that if there was a programme of upgrades in place, one where you could trade in your old motherboard and have a new one installed for, say, half or quarter of the full price, the whole deal would be much more enticing to the customer. Otherwise, yeah, it's sort of a race against time in trying to keep up with smartphones instead of trying to become a gaming platform in and out of itself.
