I thought I would finish it in a week and it was the only reason I bought a 3ds but it is sitting in my handheld collecting dust. I am just not enjoying it or getting into it as much as the older games. I don't know what the problem is. Am I just getting too old? I thought I'd be playing pokemon in my old age. Am I the only one who is disappointed?

Considering I never really got into a Pokemon game in any fashion big since silver or gold I found x/y a great return to form. Some ofth e mechanics were weird at first but I had a great time with it, but there is nothing to be ashamed of if you don't like the game

...why are you asking us? you should know why it doesnt interest you.
did you actually play it yet at all, or are you literally just not starting it up at all?

personally, I had much fun for a month or two.

You're not alone, I thought Pokemon X/Y was complete shite. Sure its cool that the models are 3D and whatnot but.... thats about it. The story, the formula, everything else about the game was absolute shit.

Yeah, with this New Exp share this game is too fucking easy.
I played it first WITHOUT the new exp-share, and it was fucking hard to beat even the 5.gym leader.

But all in one, this Game is fucking awesome. Wondertrade, Drive-by fight.. and areas fromthe First editions.....

Lie down. try not to cry. Cry a lot

Initially i was just as excited as everyone else was to get the game, i thought it would be fantastic and change my life and stuff. Sadly i was severely mistaken at how bad the game was gonna be.

"Thank you pokemon X/Y for turning my life around. I am now brushing my teeth regularly, going outside, meeting people. I am finally on time with payments, appointments, and generally a snappier person. I was even able to pour milk on my cereal this morning with out my mom's help. Thank you pokemon, thank you a million"

Lol

X & Y seems to be really hit and miss. Loved or hated.
Personally I enjoyed it, I just didnt like how easy the exp share made it. Besides that, I have 200+ hours game time and counting ;)

Same here. Got it right before Christmas and it was fun until like two days ago when I got a Shiny Mew, my last goal in the game :(

All in good fun, i assure you.

I mean pokemon in 3D should change anyone's pokemon life, I know they have been jealous ever since Dragon Quest Joker made all of their stuff in 3D.

I haven't played it yet. The issues people were reporting with frame rate drops from the new engine have turned me away entirely.

I'm waiting on Pokemon Z, with the additional features they should have included in the first set, as well as engine optimizations.

well I mean if he bought a 3ds for the sole purpose of playing pokemon and he doesn't like the game he's going to be ashamed

why though? plenty more games on the 3DS than just Pokemon, if nothing in the library is to his liking he just sells the thing and admits it wasn't for him

Really? I've been playing without the EXP Share the whole time, and I haven't blacked out even once (well, aside from one of the sky battles, but what can you do when you're going against unfair type matchups like that). But it's far from "too easy", and the bump in difficulty certainly has made the game so much more enjoyable.
