Much has been said about Nintendo and, in particular, the struggles of Wii U, but the claim that Nintendo has been deemed "dead" to Electronic Arts is untrue, according to the publisher's chief operating officer, Peter Moore. In a CVG report looking at the position Nintendo finds itself in -- the company recently slashed sales forecasts for 3DS and Wii U -- an anonymous EA employee had some harsh words to share on the subject. Asked about the level of commitment EA has shown for Wii U, the source said, "Nintendo was dead to us very quickly." "It became a kids IP platform and we don't really make games for kids. That was pretty true across the other labels too. Even the Mass Effect title on Wii U, which was a solid effort, could never do big business, and EA like Activision is only focused on games that can be big franchises."
Peter Moore responded to this statement on Twitter today, writing, "Don’t trust 'anonymous sources.' Nintendo's a great partner. They never have been, and never will be, 'dead' to EA." The author of the CVG report, Rob Crossley, then tweeted back at Moore insisting the source "was an EA one," to which Moore replied, "I know where I, as the COO, and my company stands on this relationship, despite the comments of your anonymous source." EA employees have gone on record with their negative thoughts regarding Nintendo before. Last year, senior engineer Bob Summerwill called the Wii U both "crap" and an "awful console." Going back even further, Maxis' Chris Hecker infamously blasted the Wii at a GDC panel in 2007, describing it as "two GameCubes stuck together with duct tape." Summerwill's rant last year came shortly after EA revealed it had no games in development for the system. Shortly thereafter, EA clarified that it is, in fact, continuing to make games for the system, although none have yet been released. More news regarding Nintendo's future is expected later this month when it addresses its investors as part of a quarterly financial results briefing. CEO Satoru Iwata has already proclaimed he will not be resigning, nor will he be shaking up management in the near future.

Some of you guys know that I personally couldn't care less about EA much less third party support on Nintendo consoles (that's what PS & Xbox are for), but saying "Nintendo is dead to us" or just about any other company in that regard is truly very disrespectful.
It just goes to show that EA employees have no moral nor respect for other companies, other than the ones they know they can make millions off (Microsoft's Xbox 360 & Xbox One and Sony's PS3/PS4).
The only EA games that I've bought have been old NFS and some FIFA (FIFA 08-13) which were all used copies (for Xbox 360) so none of the money went to EA.
Meh, no wonder people hate EA.
