hi guys , maybe JoostinOnline and Foxi4 can help me out again.

I've got a bricked wii on my hands, a friend of mine bricked it a long time ago, doesnt remember what really happened, its on 4.1U, savemiifrii tells me that.

If i turn the wii on, i only get black screen, savemiifrii wont load games, tried two drives, one with modchip, and another without modchip and after the sys menu version appears, it gets stuck on black screen. I confirmed it is NOT the discs, already tried em on another wii via savemifrii also, and loads up fine.
I believe this issue is because priiloader settings are taking command and wont let the disc load. Priiloader does not load.

BUT

i prepared an SD card for bootmii, and bootmii DOES load up, but cant get into HBC that way. What can i do? i read something about cboot but didnt really understand it, information is a bit scarce on that.

Any help is appreciated by anyone. Thank you. To recap.

-bricked wii
-no priiloader
-have access to bootmii, but cant get into HBC from there.
-savemifrii wont autoboot, stays on black screen, idk why.

Doubt it's a priiloader issue since priiloader isn't even there.

if priiloader was deleted somehow then all of its settings and hacks would have been deleted with it.

I succesfully got cboot to load via BLIND v2.0
Before this, i put in wii dance via savemiifrii and it updated my wii to to 4.3(u) according to savemiifrii. (still wouldnt load game tho.)

Anyways, i installed priiloader again, and got myself to deleting cIOS installed on the wii, because syscheck was hanging on ios202, 222, etc.

After this HBC was working again, but i StiLL cant get into system menu. To recap

-i now have priiloader access.
-i now have HBC access
.i CANT access system menu.

I would run a sysCheck and see what all is installed on the wii and then go from there.

Post it here and everyone can give feedback.

You need to do an update using modmii. You can use that syscheck file within modmii and it will download any needed files.

Also you have an older verison of the HBC. You could update that as well.

All of your ios have the trucha bug and that's not needed at all. Kinda looks like darkcorp is installed.

Also i remember that having the system menu ios trucha bugged and having priiloader will cause issues.

That could be the cause of your blackscreen. It's been years though since i've seen anyone with this issue so my memory isn't 100% certain on it.

hmm. i have ios60 trucha bugged (for loading channels off sd card) and priiloader installed, no issues.

Yea, thats what i thought, Cioscorp/darkcorp, i dont remember the name, looks like was on this wii.

Is it safe to reinstall all those ios that are on version v65535to their correct version? wanna get them off NUS and maybe this will fix the issue.

They will just overwrite the current version installed.

Since you have bootmii as boot2 your safe even if something goes wrong(which already has).

You could just download a 4.3 update from modmii and it will grab all the current ios files for you and then just batch install them using Multi Mod Manager.

*If you reinstall the system menu you will loose priiloader but it can be reinstalled afterwards.

4.1 is better and safer.

im beginning to believe its a bad bt module. Thanks for blind v2. i had so much trouble setting up cboot2, i couldnt actually.

How can i verify if it IS the bt module? channels loaded via priiloader hang on blackscreen, games stay on black screen, etc etc. I just updated 40 ios files after doing a syscheck and submitting it to modmii.

ios60+4.1(u) or ios80+4.3 are correctly installed each time.

Btw, 4.1 is still better? i thought since the wii is practically pwned for life, u should might as well be on the last version, safely updating via wifi then softmod after that.

I tried making the cboot2 version of BLIND as friendly as possible. Sorry if it was confusing.

If you can't use the Wii remote, then it's almost certainly a bad bluetooth module.

There are now work-arounds for almost all the bad stuff that 4.3 introduced, but there is no point to installing it, and all the fixes, when you could just install 4.1 and be done. It's especially bad if you are working with a bricked Wii.

I got you. 4.3 has been overcome 100% already in other words i guess.
BLIND v2 is beautiful. Its the standalone cboot2 v16 i was tinkering around with that i could never get to launch. BLIND is just unrar, copy to SD card.

Im reading about your cboot252 and its really cool. So this is the best next thing after bootmii/priiloader i guess?

Anyways, everything softmod-wise looks OK on this wii. Tomorrow ill try with another BT module i have over at shop.

BLIND launches via cboot2. If you ran BLIND, then you ran cboot2.

cboot252 was more of an experiment with hex editing, and probably wasn't the best way to respect TT. It's made obsolete by Casper anyway.
