Gateway is only offering the unbrick service because they know their code didn't brick any legit Gateway user's 3DS. They know the code they distributed. They put plenty of safeguards in place for Gateway users ... and included a payload to brick the r4i users.

And r4i willingly distributed the malware firmware onto their own customer's 3DS.
Shame on r4i.

And Gateway willingly CREATED that malware KNOWING that other teams would steal it, and that it would ultimately brick the 3DS systems of END USERS. If you cannot understand how that not only makes them responsible for the whole mess, but fucking horrible human beings as well, then you are ALSO a horrible person.

r4 bricked their own customer's consoles. r4 "tested" and approved of the firmware and people downloaded it from their site - http://r4ids.cn/ ...
After people downloaded the bad firmware from the r4 site .... the 3DSes were bricked.

This is r4's problem alone. Why would r4 brick their own user's consoles ?

Why ? Because they don't know jack shit about anything.

Stop supporting companies that are USELESS.

People who buy flashcarts from a company who can't even make their own firmware are fools.

I believe that with the seriousness of this whole 3ds bricking situation, a whole new sticky should be made. It's worth it, and it will save 3DS's in the long run.

Oh I agree fully, but grandiose claims were made in the post of that thread, none of which were ultimately substantiated and some of which later turned out to be false entirely.
