Hacking how long have you been using gateway ( or other cards ) and how many errors you've got?

i've been using it for around 3 months, and got many grayscreen error when booting, gamecard was removed, and several times corrupt saves ( thanks to backup so i didn't waste many hours of my life )

since 2.0.1b and 2.0.2b the greyscreen error has reduced many times over 1.2, but gamecard was removed and saves corrupt still happen several time at totally random frequency. i thought it was hardware defect when i found out about diagnostic mode. i'm no expert at programming, but i figure the cause of game save error is SPI flow is interrupted during mid - game, which i have to fix by resetting in diagnostic mode.

i assumed that because everytime my3DS have gamecard was removed or save corrupt error, the SPI test and SPI read test failed.

while i understand gateway is as a whole is still in beta version, and still have a long way to go to reach it's full potential, but i hope they make this problem their priority after releasing the final version of GW 2.0

I would say that something is wrong with your cart since I don't have those problems except for the launcher failing to boot 1/15 times.

got gateway since start of november and the problems i had is few grey screen on 2.0.1b and saves incompatible for some games on 2.0.2b no problem as of yet

Well I've been using my cart since October and I didn't have many problems, at the beginning on 1.2 I had problems starting games, but that was because my PC's internal card reader was faulty. Then with 2.0b1 I had freezes when entering GW Mode from time to time. I never had corrupt saves though and with 2.0b2 the freezes when entering GW Mode stopped entirely

I would say that something is wrong with your cart since I don't have those problems except for the launcher failing to boot 1/15 times.

i noticed the micro SD card slot is kinda loose, but most of the time it works perfectly, but errors still happen at random, unexpected time >__> now you make me worried.

It could also be your MicroSD. My new Sandisk Ultra are not working well since the design of these cards is not accurate and it's not fitting properly, something that doesn't happen with my other 3 microSD (which all of them are of different brands)

it all happen to my micro SD. might it be problem with writing the ROM?

well to be sure i'm currently downloading the testrom now.

got my gateway on the black friday weekend. aside from those random crashes from the first 2.0 beta after trying emunand it's been smooth. don't get them much anymore after the recent update (unless I try to enter GW menu in GW mode but softreset fixes that). never had sav corruption issues either

I've only ever had a save not load once, but after hard resetting the console to prevent the blank save being wrote to the SD I loaded up again and saves where there, this was back on 1.2 and hasn't happened since, had 2 save crashes on 2.0b1 but not happened since b2 update and the odd freeze when entering gw mode, but again this hasn't happened since updating to b2

All in all the only crash that annoyed me was when I had been playin albw for a few hours and lost progress...but it was soon forgotten

I've been using gateway for three weeks now. I couldn't enter gw mode twice on 2.0b1, but since 2.0b2 I haven't faced a problem so far.

I've had an R4 since about four weeks ago, and the only error I've had game-wise is my Dream Team save file reverting to an older one somehow. And then there are the random crashes when booting into Gateway Mode, but you just have to retry and it usually works.

I haven't even opened my Gateway yet. Their the same thing as the R4's though, so my experience would probably be the same.

Got my Gateway flashcard one week ago and I didn't encounter any problems nor crashes so far.

Gateway 1.2 for over three months. Not a single error.
