I just thought of something.

What if you backed up your NAND, then did a system transfer to another 3DS, then reloaded it?
Would you have the digital games still?

Then they should stay as well, I suppose. If you want 2 copies of your eShop games/demos you could try it :P

I do not know. You should ask in the 3ds xl hand dumping thread.

Well I haven't been on this site in awhile and can't even use a Gateway (my 3DS is on the latest firmware), but when I saw someone post about reloading the NAND to get around demo limits, it made me think of this.

The tickets for downloaded games are stored in NAND. When you do a system transfer you move the tickets from one system to the next, but doing a restore to a pre-transfer NAND image will restore the tickets and allow you to access games on both systems. Going to the e-shop however will revoke the tickets on the old system.

There are pictures of this on the NAND backup thread.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
