Hey guys, I need some assistance with getting my softmodded Wii 4.3 to work. I have installed using ModMii and I seem to have trouble getting games to load. I am using UsbLoaderGx and have d2xv8 final loaded onto cIOS245-251 with bases 37, 38, 53, 55, 56, 57, and 58. I am using PriiLoader v7, any advice on what I am doing wrong?

I am not getting errors, my games just don't load and my Wii freezes. I am using an SSD formatted to fat32 and I use Wii backup manager. I think the trouble I am having is getting the correct cIOS and etc. I just tried running a syscheck but it crashed so that must mean my IOS is corrupt. I need some help on what to do after installing ModMii, in terms of cIOS/IOS/etc wise, I want to either use WiiFlow or USBLoaderGX.

I'm not sure what's going on but if you used modmii to mod the wii it should be working. What version of usb loader gx are you using? I get the feeling that the Wii was modded before in which case I would suggest doing a system format and rehacking with ModMii. You might also try another loader, I suggest using CFG Usb Loader.

Also you need to make sure to follow each step of the ModMii guide exactly, with the exception of installing the USB Loader forwarder channel if you don't want it, as it gives you all the steps for installing the needed IOS and CIOS files.

Try installing WiiMC and throw a few stardard definition videos on your drive and see if it reads the drive and plays the files, if not I would suggest reformatting your hd and transferring the files again. It might also happen to be that your drive is just not compatible for use on the Wii.

I have re-formatted the Wii system memory and re-did the ModMii hack. cIOS d2x wise, I am going to install version 8.0 final on IOS 249,250 on base 56,57. Is that correct?

You should only be installing the cIOS and IOS files that were downloaded from modmii and you need to install them ind the order specified by your specific modmii guide that is generated when you run modmii on your computer.

Like I said it may be a problem with your hd not being compatible.
Are you using an external drive or an internal drive with a usb housing? Also which specific drive are you using?

I'm gonna say it's either the hd, the enclosure or a combination of the 2. If none of the previous suggestions worked I'd try another drive. I've had good experiences with WD Elements drives and Hitatchi/HGST Touro Mobile drives. There is a compatibility list here: Wii USB Device Compatibility List, it's not really definitive but it should give you a good idea. Also if you're in the market for a drive research it's potential Wii compatibility online by searching "wii compatibility" along with the name and/or model of the drive you're considering.

After I install via ModMii and follow the guide to download the WADS I need, do I still need to install d2x v8 or later?
