Gateway officially said on December 17th,2013 that GW2.0b2 is a few days away from release and will be mainly emunand support for 7.0. Functionally the same with the video that 3DSlink released on December 16th, that emunand 3DS 7.0, updating synchronously with 3DSlink. Truthfully, from the firmware updating before, conclude that GW and 3DSlink are developed by the same technology team. In addition, according to inside news, GW won’t be able to support MultiRom. It is said that to support MultiRom, GW must change its hardware and this can not be realized by updating firmware. In other words, to support MultiRom, GW must either change its flashcart or change its brand to develop a new cart. Anyway, it is really awful for us 3DS users.

This is the first time I ever heard this. Do you even have any RELIABLE source to this? (Not some guy on a forum who said this)

didn't gateway team explicitly say multiple times that their flashcard doesn't need hardware upgrades and that the clones do?

i don't think, i have had this from GW team

MT-Card is just a new clone from the clone makers (R4i etc.), same team. Just
as they can't update their old card, they make a new one under a different name
as they know old customers will be upset to know they have been scammed. With a
new name, they hope to scam more users.

Our firmware is just a few days away, so we won't release video, it is not
needed, people can enjoy all the features before 2014 anyway.

A: The Easter Bunny.

Think this is off topic?
Who cares. At least what I said, is based on more reliable sources then whatever else was and will be posted here.
