Hacking how to copy blocked save like mario kart

hi i have a couple save like mario kart, smash bros and a few more that are blocked from copy. i can take them from my wii and put them on an sd card but how do i put them in the wiiu. i remember doing something to my wii to be able to copy those save, cant remember what though, and i'm pretty sure i can't do that to vwii without messing it up.

ps: i don't want to use nintendo's transfer tool.

Just get the Savegame Manager GX

i am probably doing something wrong i tried that last night and hbc wont see savegame manager on my sd card. sry should have mentioned it in op.

Where did you put it on the sd card? It has to be in the path \apps\Savegame Manager GX, and there has to be a file in it named boot.dol

can you send me a screenshots of the Windows Explorer in the respective folders so I can see if it's really in the right place? Because apart from that there's no reason why it would not show up

Well, it copies it in a different format so you would have to use Savegame Manager GX on BOTH the Wii AND the Wii U to extract/install the save. Were you doing it this way and it failed?

Also, it can't install a save for a game unless that game has already created a save on the system so you'd have to at least run the game once on the Wii U, create a new save file, exit out and then use Savegame Manager GX to REPLACE that existing save with the one from your Wii.

As far as using Nintendo's built in tool, I think there's also some PriiLoader hack that will remove the copy protection on SOME saves but I know from experience that it doesn't work for all saves. Even if it works, I don't know if it will let you copy it BACK from the SD if it's protected.

If all else fails, there IS the Wii U transfer tool. You'd just have to be sure to backup and/or temporarily removed stuff you have right now and didn't want to be moved/overwritten

Right now I can't even open game save manager on my Wii
Yes I think I have the priiloader hack on my Wii cause I was able to copy the save on my SD but I can't put them in my vwii

I take it that it shows up fine on the Wii? Does anything ELSE show up on HBC in vWii?
Do you have a USB device connected? It might have gotten set to show what's on USB instead of SD. To change this back you press either 1 or 2 (I can never remember which one) and then select the SD option from the menu that comes up.

BUT
you can use the tool just fine without updating. all you need to do is get the WAD for the latest shop channel and install THAT with a WAD manager (both the WAD and the WAD manager you can get from ModMii for windows)
when you installthe WAD it will update JUST the shop channel which will let you get online to download the tool without updating the whole Wii.

Tried moving the game saves from the latest Save Game Manager GX on the wii to the WiiV. I keep getting Error Unable to set UID when trying to install to the wiiV?
