Hacking Confused about "Emunand" and Playing new official games.

Yep, you can do all of the Gateway stuff (aside from playing 3DS ROMs) without an actual gateway! Just need a DS Mode flashcard to install the initial hack.

and yes retail carts will work, however if you have played them on a legit 6.3 system, playing through GW Classic Mode with EmuNAND will corrupt your existing saves

Weird. Is the opposite true as well? If you play via EmuNAND first will playing on legit corrupt the saves?

Yes, I believe so. It has to do with the way the saves are encrypted? It's different on systems before 6.3...

Yes it will, anygame with an update of 6.x or higher will have flags for new KeyY method for saving set, since the EmuNAND is still running off 4.1-4.5, it doesnt know these flags and uses the old KeyY method, they arent interchangable atm, if you play a brand new retail lets say Pokemon on EmuNAND, you are stuck playing it on GW compatible devices, same with playing on a 6.3 system, any other system thats 6.3 is fine

If you can use it to play DS roms on your 4.1-4.5 3DS, then yes!

emuNAND is like having a dual OS on 1 3DS, the 4.5 (stored on the 3DS's internal) is used to run GW, while the 6.3 (stored on the BIG SD Card) is used to run latest game, e-shop

I know the R4i Gold 3DS works, but I can't be sure about the R4i SDHC Dual Core, though...

The DS mode cart is used only to install the initial hack. That is... You put the GW_INSTALLER.NDS onto your DS mode cart and run it.
This installs the hack, and that's all you need the DS mode cart for.

After installing the hack and returning to the home menu, you can take out the cart and enter Gateway mode by going to the DS Profile Settings, granted that you have the Launcher.dat on your 3DS SD card.

Today I bought a DS mode card (R4iTT RTS New) and it says (New 3.03) when I launch it and it is running Pokemon black 2 normally (didn't really try it well) too .However, I tried to run The Gateway 3ds blue card's files on it but it doesn't work....doesn't show in the R4i's menu
What exactly I need to do in order for the Gateway installer to show on? Pleaseee help. Where to place the 3 gateway blue card files?
btw I couldn't find a better R4i card like the gold 3ds

u dont need to replace anything in your cart. just put GW_INSTALL.nds and run like u run any games.

Just use the files for your R4iTT RTS New, copy the GW_INSTALLER.nds from the archive at your card, start your card with the 3DS and run the *.nds file.

That is exactly what I did I placed 3 copies of the file GW_INSTALLER.NDS , one on the root of the micro SD card
another in a folder called "new folder" which contains the working Pokemon Black 2 and the last one in a folder called "app"
But when I insert the R4i in the 3ds and launch , I can't see the file
