Hacking New update 3DSLink Firmware 3.0 "can play online games"?

1. Switched to 3DS V6.3 system Successfully, Those two games <<The Legend of Zelda – A Link Between Worlds / The Legend of Zelda – Kamigami no Triforce 2 >> and << Batman – Arkham Origins Blackgate >> works perfectly on the 3ds console
2. <<The Legend of Zelda >> and << Batman>> are the latest games which are released two days before，and we will keep to update all new games.
3. We can enter into the ESHOP ，and can play online game!

The news has been released in 22.11.2013 with a video embbed in 3DSLink Official Site(in the video they weren't able to enter in eShop tho because the wi-fi was off... probably)

But, by its date release, seems 3DSLink is updating by their own, like the Nand thing, and they have a video as proof(Gateway release was in December). Now is just wait IF they'll release their firmware (That by its description looks better than gateway 3ds, and R4i 3DS that didn't even post any news about update yet)
And does anyone have 3DSLink cartridge to test when they release it?

Yeah ikr! That's the question... lol but who knows, gateway desactivated the Wi-Fi in gateway mode to prevent updates and probably ban in-game

I wonder if 3DSLink turn it on. Only waiting for its release i guess... if they said in the official site, is possible to wonder if is true... if isn't i would buy a damn gateway instead

And since Smea said that his RedNand is different from EmuNand(Gateway)
I wonder if 3DSLink have another possibilities like play Retail games without change the Nand to classic (just theory tho idk if im saying shit)

Even if online play did exist, who's to say Nintendo don't have a system that can detect those who are playing a ROM and not only ban them from online play but possibly brick their system? I'm sure online play in Gateway is disabled for a reason, I'd much rather wait until Gateway have fully tested and made sure it's safe to play online than take the word of some unproven company like 3DSLink and risk having a bricked 3DS.

Yeah... that's one problem. But if online really works i will prefer to buy 3DSLink instead since is much cheaper and wait 6~10 months to see if anyone have problems with online gameplay while playing with Wi-Fi off. Is the most assurable option in my opinion

Gateway will have online working in 6~10 month, or provide the confirmation that it's unsafe to play and will get you banned anyways. What's the point?

Currently, I believe, every cartridge produced has it's own unique ID and when you dump it, it's either embedded into ROM or it's not dumped at all. So from nintendo POV all pirates will be playing from the same cartridge for every game, or for the same 0 cartridge for all the games, thus in both cases, easily detectable and bannable. So gateway team need to find a way to change the ID, probably, make it random every time you start the game so nintendo can't ban them.

The problem here is price. Gateway price in Brazil is insane... 125 dollars in total

Brazillian taxes = Product price + Shipping price X 63%~65%


EvilMakiPR, have games that i will buy retail, like Monster Hunter 4.
Now some games like mario kart i won't buy it NEVAH but if is to play for free i wouldn't mind.
The same for a lot of games, inclusively japanese ones since 3ds has region lock.
I would love to buy Puyo Puyo 3DS and play online. but cant do it buying original derp

I live in Brazil and paid 100USD on a gateway yesterday

You can always import but i didnt want to wait til january to receive so for 100usd it was way better then update my 3ds and buy Zelda

I give 0 fucks about online

Gateway is the ONLY flashcard to go, the others are just piggybacking on gateway updates

Look at the News date. 3DSLink posted this news 1 week before gateway release their update 3.0
They copied for sure Gateway's first update with Free-Region and Update Block
But, because this video is very possible that 3DSLink users will be able to play online, since they developed a "emunand" by themselves and not copying gateway.

Because it i don't think Gateway is the only flashcart to go, Pacote. Now, just waiting to see if will be really possible
