Welcome one and all to our yearly Tempmas event! You know, little over a year ago, I was approached for this position. To be your one and only official GBAtemp event guy. It's had it's ups and downs, and some complications, but mostly it's been fun. Yeah, it's been real fun. And who makes it all worthwhile? You guys. Seeing your awesome reactions to being chosen as the winner, having a blast going about the tasks I set forth for you. Just wishing I could see your faces when I drop the bomb about some huge grand prize... And if this sounds like a farewell speech, don't worry. I'm not going anywhere. I just want you all to know that every single one of you make this not only enjoyable, but make it possible in the first place. Yeah, even you, the guy that griped because you didn't win. (you know who you are.)
That's why the first week of Tempmas is dedicated to YOU. The members of this site. The blood that flows through the heart of this forum. And as such, only members registered BEFORE this thread is posted will be able to participate. And to be clear, that's ONLY for this week. Anyone will be able to participate on weeks 2-4.
Alright, now onto the main event. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a short video explaining what Tempmas means to you. (It's vague for a reason. Use your imagination.) It should be between 30 seconds and 5 minutes long. It can be anything from a youtube video, to flash animations, to an animated gif, to stop motion animation. If it moves and can be linked to on the Internet, then there's a good chance it's good to use as a submission, as long as you're the one that made it, of course.
What are we offering for your creation? Just three Gateway 3DS carts! Yep! The three best submissions will be selected to win one of three Gateway 3DS carts. And, hey, what a coincicence! The 2.0 firmware has just been released as well! Look, I know i was going to blow your mind, but come on. I just washed this shirt.

Rules
1. Only members that have registered before the time of this thread's posting will be permitted to participate.
2. One entry per member. One entry per IP address.
3. Your submission must be in movie format. Animated gifs do count, as does flash animation.
4. Please upload your submissions to either imgur, youtube, or filetrip and link to them in a post in this thread. I will disregard any entries sent to me by PM.
5. All content must be your own. Copyrighted content is allowed as long as it falls under fair use (using Mario Bros action figures to act out a stop-motion scene) Clips from other movies or videos are not permitted. Neither is outright stealing someone else's work.
6. All submissions must be between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. if it goes a tiny bit over(10-15 seconds or so), that's fine, but the minimum cannot be broken.
7. Judgements are final. Feel free to PM me about why you think you should have won, but unless it's a crazy good reason, I won't budge.
8. Deleting your content after the end of the contest will land you on the super-secret GBAtemp event blacklist. It's super secret because you likely will never know you're on it. If you lose, don't just take your ball and go home. No one likes that guy. Don't be that guy.
9. All submissions must be submitted by December 8th, 2013 11:59 PM PST. Winners will be announced shortly thereafter.
10. Okay, this is going to be a bit different than it has been before. If you win a prize in week 1, you cannot win another prize in week 2. However, you will be eligible to win a prize in weeks 3 and 4. If you win a prize in week 3, you cannot win another prize for week 4.
