Hacking Strange Freezes in Pokemon Black

So, I purchased a DSTWO a couple months ago, and so far pretty much everything has been working fine. However, very recently I've started getting freezes in Pokemon Black when I try to run it off of my flashcart. I was able to get pretty far in to the game with no issue, but after I went in to the Relic Castle, this started happening. It seems that whenever I enter a Pokemon battle, either wild or with a trainer, the game crashes about 40% of the time. While I suppose I could just save extremely often and stock up on repels, I'd much rather try to fix the issue.

I haven't noticed any issues with any other games I've tried.

After googling around a bit, I couldn't find anyone with a similar issue. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this or how I could try to fix it?
