The card boots up just fine with another MicroSD that only has 200 games, but when I insert the MicroSD with 622 games the card boots up to the screen where you pick "MicroSD" or Favorites folder, it works just fine until you try to access the games in the MicroSD, then the whole thing freezes and becomes unresponsive. Its running wood 1.62 and flashed latest firmware. Really need help, thanks!

I think the problem is you having 622 games on one sd card. Do you have separate folders? Did you try removing some games to see if it works?

They are all on the root of the card because I heard that is ideal in most cases. Ill try reducing the number as well as placing them in different folders. Currently formatting the MicroSD just in case

Holy Cow, how did you backup so many games! It takes hours (2-3) to backup a 64Megabyte NDS Game from the cart using an ak2i and Wood Dumper. Also make sure the card is formatted anything but FAT16, it will not work to well with many files FAT32 works with the card, I think NTFS does aswell, but it varries per cart.

Xexyz yea I kinda assumed that. it was a bit of sarcasm and slight hopefulness that some of the contributions would go to the official developers. Oh Well.
data1880 Anyway I thought R4's did not support SDHC/SDXC Cards, or the old ones didn't at least. In that case your limited to a 2gb card.
He is using the R4i Gold 3DS which is a clone based on the R4. The R4i Gold 3DS has SDHC and official Wood R4 support,

i think its normal to crash when you have 600 games on the same folder :/
maybe the console\card try to get all pictures and info about them into ram and its not enough or too much for the console? i am not an expert or technician but its logical in my mind :/

migles you are probably right with the RAM issue, The DS is VERY constrained RAM wise. In AKAIO, there is a feature to turn off icons, and ROM information, just view the filename, does R4Wood have a similar option in the settings?

but even if there is enough ram, it would be sooo slow, because the 600+ pictures loaded on the memory and maybe crash it, i think this is the issue, like i said i am no technician but for me makes sense, maybe someone got more details how it works

try to lower the games for about 400, and try to check the "limit" and give us feedback
