A 2GB card isn't enough to support the games I have, Pokemon X, Rune Factory 4, Fire Emblem A and Animal Crossing. So I had those games split out into 3 different SD cards which I had available in my house. Today I finally went out and bought a 8GB SD card to put all the games together, I backed up all my games and deleted them, somehow I managed to transfer the Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem backups to my new SD card, so I can redownload them whenever, also managed to transfer Pokemon X as a title, not a backup, so that's done too.

But my problem is, I have /no/ idea how to transfer Rune Factory 4 over. As I don't even recall how I moved the backups and even Pokemon X. There are a bunch of folders, "title", which I assume is the actual games you downloaded off the eShop (pokemon x), and the backups folder, which is.. backups.

I tried making a 002 folder for RF4 in the backup folder, because there is a 000 folder and a 001 folder for Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing backups, but it didn't show up in the restore data in my 3ds.

This is so frustrating, and the official nintendo 3DS site is NO help at all. Could anyone assist me?

Since it's the same 3DS, I'm pretty sure you can copy-paste the contents of the old SD to the new one. That's what I did when I upgraded from 2 to 16.

You can, but it's a bit more complicated because there are files in the new SD card, and some of them are the same files/folders and idk what to overwrite and what to not. I'm gonna keep trying though.

K well apparently the title folder doesn't hold the actual games. Oh my god this is so confusing. Kill me. I replaced everything on the new SD with the old SD and now the main title game I have now is Rune Factory but Pokemon X is gone and the backups of FE and AC are gone. Luckily of course I made a backup of the folder on my comp. Sigh. I would really like these folders explained to me. It has something to do with the extdata folder but there's a TON of shit in there.

What I'd try is backing up the save data, then redownload all your games onto your new SD card, then restore the save data. I haven't tried it myself, but it's worth a shot.

Yes that's exactly what I was thinking. I don't mind redownloading them. I'm just trying to think. Rune Factory 4 and Rune Factory 4 backup is on 1 SD card. Pokemon X, Fire Emblem, and Animal Crossing are on the other SD card (new).

I don't have backups of my games on the Rune Factory card. Where do I.. download them? Can I put the Rune Factory backup in the new card? At first I was thinking, "download all the games into your Rune Factory SD card and back them up", but then, I don't have the saves for them on the Rune Factory SD card. This is so confusing. Since the guy up there said I can't merge them.. am I gonna have to have RF stuck on a seperate SD card forever? I really just want everything on 1 card.

edit: If it doesn't merge, I can do the backups 1 by 1? Hmm..
