Hacking Just bought a R4i Gold 3DS Deluxe Edition - some questions?

I've followed the installation instructions, but have a few questions:

I only have one 2gb micro sd card at the moment therefore it has the following files: luigi's mansion 2 rom + _DSMENU.DAT and _rpg - is this ok, or could it cause a problem not having them separate?

What function does DSMENU.DAT and _rpg offer?
Regarding the blue card - can this be used for anything else or is it only needed for initial installation?

Saves- where are they kept...? Could I take LM2 ROM off the card, put MK7 ROM on, play for a few hours, then put LM2 ROM back on and carry on where I Left off?


Any help is appreciated as I'm a bit of a beginner with all this.

Then you could not have follow the instructions.



No, it won't work.

Had a quick play, the game loads up without any problems. Are you saying it should be on a card without anything else on as I may encounter problems later on?

How did it work? For me I have to burn the 3ds file onto a usb and had to format before copying so

It should only work if you write the ROM to the whole card.

i just got a reply from them for the new firmware
