Never had any luck getting Toshiba hdd's (OR SD CARDS) to function properly on wii, not in 6 years and hundreds of wii's later. Hitachi hard drives are just as unreliable for the wii. Please try to do some research first before just taking everyone's word (I am not saying that they are wrong and I am right or vice versa,) in regards to this. If anything, you should be getting a 2tb hard drive, not a one. 2tb are just too cheap to be wasting money on 1tb hard drives... and stay away from wbfs format like the guy a couple of posts above me said. Use fat32 or ntfs (preferably fat32 if you want to use it for GC games in the future or if it will be swapped between a wii and wii u.)
