Well, this is only one end of the spectrum. The freedom of PC gaming is also about the freedom of hardware. Anywhere for a $500 budget rig for playing less intensive games at standard 1080p all the way up to a $9000 monster that'll breeze through any game at 4K for the next several years and continue to play games at lower resolutions for a decade afterwards.

I'm still able to play games at high settings 1080p with my $900 rig from 2010. You don't really need an overkill rig.
